Resident Evil 4 or God of War?

Thats an easy one.

RE4 is an AWESOME game, with 20+ hours of content. Buy it!

God of War is an AWESOME game, with 8+ hours of content. Rent it!

There you go, you get both ;)

I have not played God of War but I cannot recommend a game more highly than Resident Evil 4. Game of the Generation from what it looks like.

I have played God of War. It's fantastic, however RE4 takes the cake.

Game of the Generation.

Resident Evil 4 will last you longer if that's something that you take into account. Resident Evil 4 is about 20 hours long, and God of War is about 10. They're both amazing games.

Hmm, one of the best games ever vs. one of the best action/adventures this gen?

RE4 is by far the best game!

Listen to this crazed man. GET GOD OF WAR NOW! You can buy the superior PS2 RE4 later.

Then you'd essentially be buying both games at full price, with a long ass wait for RE4 to boot. Me, I'm not too sure a few extras are worth that.

IMO, these are the only two truly great games this year on the consoles (Lumines being the only other game I have cared about).

You have to play both...its not like anything on their level will come out between now and Zelda.

Both are 2 must play games this generation, so play and beat both.

Which is better??? That's too difficult to answer. Both are phenomenal.

Meh, I was marginally unimpressed by the actual gameplay of RE4. Its solid, but the real draw is the presentation, it really gives you the feel of an interactive B horror movie.

God of War kicks its ass in terms of enjoyability of gameplay, at least for me, addictively fun game. It is rather short though and while the overall presentation is top notch, RE4 is better at that in my opinion.

So it really depends on what you'd prefer. A solid, fairly lengthy game that has "suck you in" presentation, or a game with solid presentation, beat it over a weekend length, but "suck you in" gameplay.

Honestly, if you're looking to buy a game, RE4 will probably be more worth it, since its a tough run through on a 5 day rental. GoW on the other hand, while I prefered it personally (I'm all about the gameplay), will more than likely see you beating it before your 5 days are up (can EASILY be finished over a free weekend, and thats on hard).

Rent RE4. Buy God of War.

I played RE4 once and hardly go back to it. God of War is fun to get in, get some fast paced carnage going and do smoething else.

I beated both the games.
No dubts.

IMHO one of the greatest games of this gen together with Metroid Prime.

Resident Evil 4 is the most intense video game I have played since Jet Force Gemini... The atmosphere is spot-on, and the action rarely lets up. You constantly feel as though you're about to die, or are in danger of it anyway. Weapon customization rocks, and by the end of the game you'll feel like a true badass when at the beginning you started with a measly handgun. There's really nothing negative I can think about this game, unless you're playing it for the story.

God of War is pretty intense, like Resident Evil 4. A lot of combos, a lot of fighting, and there's a great sense of scale when you see the God of War looming over the armies in the distance. It really feels like you're in the middle of a futile war. There's some good puzzles and level design, as well as an EXP system to level up weapons (sorta like Devil May Cry). Even though it's 10 hours long (I beat it in 8), I thought the game got far too repetitive near the end of it, and I found myself wanting it to be over.

Final suggestion? Rent GoW first. Buy RE4 later.

Pro Tip: When trying to sell someone on a game, don't compare it to another game that is both very different and very diversely recieved.

I liked MP! :P

Well, I'll go with RE4 then. I think...

Resident Evil 4 got boring, and the shooting dynamics were annoying.

God of War may be shorter, but I couldn't put the game down until I beat it.

God of War.

RE4 easily.

GOW was abit overhyped IMO for what it was. I played Tekken 5 more and still do. Nice game that.
