Super PAC's are coming to Trump’s aid as the embattled president struggles to govern amid a series of missteps and an independent probe into his election campaign’s ties to Russia.

It is the first time that a U.S. president has had Super PACs - political action committees that can raise unlimited amounts of money and typically operate during elections - or political non-profits, which do not have to disclose their donors or where they spend their money, actively working to support him after the dust of campaigning has cleared.

The Committee to Defend the President, another Super PAC, launched an ad calling on supporters to “defend” Trump. The group’s leader, Ted Harvey, said unfair attacks on Trump had forced his group to shift their focus to defending the president instead of promoting his policies.

“Certainly, I would rather be talking about policies than talking about made-up lies that the Democrats and the mainstream media cabal have put together to discredit the administration from moving forward on its agenda,” said Harvey.

I saw a pro-Trump commercial on CNN tonight. Talking about how he is draining the swamp... wtf does that even mean anymore? Name one example of how he's doing that.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I want democrats to do the exact same thing when they get power back. Let's see how it looks to them then.

I mean, this is pretty clear an example of him fucking swimming in the swamp, not draining it lol

Democrats could run Super PAC commercials right now if they wanted to and had the money. It's just almost certainly a waste of resources, unless you're desperately trying to tread water because you're a drowning man.

I'm just consistently shocked that people actually see things in the NY Times, WaPo, etc and think that, instead of all these media outlets who have been reliable for decades, they're going to listen to the proven bullshit artist from The Apprentice who has been proven in court time and again to be a good for nothing liar.

It just blows my mind the level of cognitive dissonance these people have to be living in to wrap their minds around the idea that DONALD FUCKING TRUMP is their hero and people who report facts are the bad guys.

There surely is better things to spend money on for wealthy conservatives?

Pushing for policies makes sense, but defending trump?

He satisfies their ugly little white supremacist fantasies. As long as he continues to denigrate minorities, they care about nothing else, and anyone who criticizes their great white whale savior must be lying.
