Because Nintendo fans seem to believe anything, as long as it's positive for Nintendo. I know some Nintendo news sites that post almost any of these fake news stories, scans or whatever and there are only a few people mostly who call bullshit on them there.

Hell, just think about Megaton, Aries or the Thursdayton recently.

Nintendo fanboys have lots of time for extracurricular activities, due to the small Gamecube library. Some are so unfulfilled that they make obsessively-detailed CG movies fantasizing about improbable future technologies.

The text is contradicting what the concept the graphic is showing. It would be like an ad for a racing game that emphasizes speed but the car is standing still.

Cars in video games don't actually move. This is doubly true if we are talking about a standard print advertisement. There is only the illusion of movement. Therefore any game advertisement emphasizing the speed of its cars is ultimately a contradiction.

The real irony, IMO, is in people interpreting the phrase "Think Outside the Box" in a cynically-concrete manner...
