Revolution Controller Video

OH hell yeah, Rev get!!!!

Im sure the most common use will be banging it against a table as was shown. :lol

That looks just like that Japan Xbox 360 commercial, same basic premise. Please tell me that is a joke though, because if it isn't I'm about to go somewhere and literally cry :lol

Well, this puts some more light on the situation, I like the idea of first person sword slashing.

I dunno, I'm really on the fence about this one. I think I'm gonna have to wait until I try it before I decide.

My dream of a Madden 07 Michael Pittman Wife Beating simulation is coming true!

"Now with the Nintendo Revolution controller, I can show my wife I mean business without the jail time and media exposure."

I'm sorry, but this looks REALLY REALLY REALLY cool. /gush

I'm serious, this is the best party system ever. <3

I'm impressed. WOW.

There's definetly something for everyone there.

I'm not so sure I'd really want to go online with this, it looks more like something that will be a blast at home parties.

+ 1 sale
+ 3 controller sales
+ 3 analog attachment sales

Faith in Nintendo restored. This controller looks pretty sweet, and opens the flood gates for all types of new gaming experiences. The Rev will go great along side my 360 :D

Well, it doesn't look that bad in the video, but I'm still not convinced, show me some actual gameplay and not a gimmickie commercial.

So it's a gyro mouse turned in to a gamepad? Wow... I hope there will be a normal controller too, because I'm having a hard time to imagine playing regular games with that. I could be wrong though. I bet it's fun for the games that are developed for the gimmick, but how about multiplatform?

Can't wait to play with this. I'm at that point in my life where due to many of life's commitments (job, girlfriend, etc.), I'm moving from a hardcore to casual gamer. It's something like this that will guarantee I continue to play. Thanks Nintendo. :D

two thoughts

-Seems like its basically just adding a mouse (with some aditional functions granted)
-Why couldnt they have just created a "normal" controller with these same functions? That would have been the move to make if the cared about 3rd parties and ports.

This is going to generate so much hype. If Nintendo plays their cards right, they can really pull off a killer with this one. I hope Nintendo does another media blackout and doesn't show any games at all for a few months. They just slowly unveil some stuff, like the online component in October. They need to continue the hype on this, the attachments can be anything.

I would like to point out that dispite its simplicity, this thing actually has lots of buttons.

- You have analog and physical movement which covers dual analog.

- L + R triggers by rotating left and right

- L2 + R2 = front and back

- B + A on the remote-style part

- 2 trigger buttons on the analog part (X and Y)

- D-Pad for quick mapping.

saw the video again and the cooking part of the video is fucking hilarious :lol

With proper marketing in North America (i.e. less family, less "just hanging around", more Xtreme, more thugish) I think this can do much better than the GameCube.

Still no match for the other two, though.

In Japan though... hmm... if it launches alongside PS3, I think it can make waves.
