Ok so I have a question to anyone who picked up Ridge Racers and the PSP today. I saw on teh back of the box last night that it has support for Adhoc (PSP to PSP) and Infrastructure (over the net). Is that really the case? I have had the Jpn version and all it supports is PSP to PSP, and I would really like to know if the US one was updated to support play over the net? If it is, then I need to get the US one.

So if anyone has any info, please let me know.

on a side note, yo can play adhoc mode games online over xlink kai if you have the right wireless card in your pc.

Yea I was wondering this too, infrastructure means online right? Unless they mean content downloading....they need to borrow MS' XBL chart with all the options a game supports online. If it's true that Ridge Racer is online, my life as I know it is over.

No, infrastructure mode does not automatically mean online. Adhoc is peer to peer direct connection between Wifi enabled devices and Infrastructure involves wifi devices connecting to each other over a network infrastructure, which could simply be a LAN and not necessarily the Internet.

Most third parties have that adhoc/infrastructure label on the back because Sony didn't have a seperate label for only adhoc games in time for launch. Ridge Racer is adhoc only. Same goes for games like Darkstalkers despite the misleading label.

Ok thanks. I wasnt sure if they updated the game for release here.

I unfortunately still have to get the damn game here, because you can not wirelessly race someone who has a US copy of the game, and I have the jpn copy of the game.

Now what I really want is someone to post their save file for this game, so I can DL it to my memory card and not have to sit there with the US one and reopen all the tracks and cars.
