This seriousely works sssooo much better than the stock pedal.
I've been using it for months now. I've gotten and broken several stock pedals since I did the mod.
And I've been using the butter knife pedal at least ten times as much as the plastic ones (easily) and it's still going strong!

I posted my impressions of it earlier in this thread, and I'm happy to report that I've had no change in them since. It really is that awesome. And as a further addendum after playing a bit on the GHWT guitar, it really is the best guitar controller of all now. Buy the P-Bass; buy it now.

Yep, you can play guitar just fine on it, though I'm not sure what you'd do without a proper whammy bar to wail on.

What? How would that even be possible.

You choose whether you're going to play bass or guitar before each song/set. How could the game stop you from choosing guitar?

So, I don't know for sure, but it doesn't seem likely that it would stop you.

I believe the game is smart enough to realize that you're using the bass, and will automatically put your cursor over "Bass" when selecting a part. But of course you can use it for the lead guitar parts too.

I did that, but with wood. Then it broke on the other piece of plastic, so I threw another piece of wood on it. Then it broke in another place so I covered it in duct tape. It's quite the monstrosity, but it works.

I got to 45% on a sight read, and I haven't played it since. I decided that the song was so horrible that I'd be better off not passing it so it wouldn't show up under quickplay. Without the regular career mode in the game showing you all your stars I seem content with leaving stuff uncompleted. There was one other song I decided was shit, and that I quit out of because I didn't want it unlocked.


*ps. that dog looks like my old dog that died a couple years back. Lived 16.5 years.
