That... just sounds weird to me, considering how often I forget career type stuff other than earning money to buy new shit. If you say you want a story mode to go along with the career, then I'll know for sure that you're crazy. But at the same time, so long as exporting songs is always an option, I'm fine with anything Harmonix tosses up.

I like progression. And achievements.

Why? What's wrong with having a reason to play these songs? Nothing is more stupid than the RB Tour storyline, am I expected to believe I'm becoming a world famous musician by playing covers around the world?

I don't really pay attention to that either, I just went through as much as I could to unlock the songs I wanted to play. Whatever kind of progression/story comes up in these games, I won't really care, I just want to play along with the songs.

Hey, there's technically been 5 Rock Band games released in a year.

Millllllllllllllllllllllllllllkinggggggggggggggggggggg?

There's three Rock Band games ever.
Sttttttttrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeettttttttttcccccccccchhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnggggggggg?

So, does anyone know for sure if this is basically just an album release of ACDC LIVE or if these are the original tracks from separate albums?

ETA:
NM: They're from the Live At Donnington DVD.

There's been 5 (nearly 6) GH games in 3 years. Lets not count DS games. Apparently that's being milked to hell. Rock Band has 3 (maybe 4) in a year.

Doooouuubbbblllleeeee stttaaannndddaaarrrddd?

I was foolish enough to buy the first one, they count.

Ha! That's like, I don't even know what that's like. So just because Activision haven't had a chance to release ALL the new Guitar Heroes they've announced or are planning YET, the two games are on even keel?

I guess you're right. Ttttteeeeeemmmmmmpppppooooorrrrraaaaarrrrriiillllllyyyyy.

;D

I'm not a fan. I wouldn't count them as a real Guitar Hero entry any more than I'd count Phantom Hourglass as a console Zelda game. It was OK for what it was.

When GH goes beyond 2 console games a year, the race to number one is ON.

Hey, it says guitar hero, so I count it in.

I bought it JUST to play Anna Molly.

Best song in the game is I Am Not Your Gameboy. I thought some songs were super good. Like All Star. The second the game wants you to move your fingers like it's a real GH it fails.

I forgot about the Freezepop song, that was weird to see in a non-Harmonix game.

All Star was that typical song I thought I was going to hate, but ended up playing far more than the others.

But yeah, the software may be up to snuff to handle a Guitar Hero game on the DS, but the hardware? Not so much.

If Neversoft had done the AC/Dc thing, the milking posts would be all over the place...

disk based, dlc based is all the same you're getting more songs of an artist you like. If you don't like ACDC you are not going to buy this... the same that if you don't like Aerosmith you should not touch GH:A I don't know what the difference is really... and I will never understand people that buy every single song including those that they do not like and will never actually play.

Why would anyone not play a song just because they don't like it? Some of the shittiest songs ever have had some of the funnest charts ever.

NOTE: Sir Psycho Sexy is just heavily HEAVILY edited, not an instrumental.

It's IGN, for god's sake. It wasn't in the original announcement last Friday, if Give it Way were to be available for RB1, HMXSean would've mentioned something about it, seeing how it'd be a major deal. And RB DLC is universal; it all comes from the same basket (at least on XBL), and if it were to be available for RB1 download it'd be extremely unlikely that they wouldn't display Give it Away in the RB2 store for sale, for technical reasons. And if it were to be displayed, people could buy a song they already have.

And what would happen to the RB1 owners who purchased the entire album, and then upgraded to RB2 sometime afterwards? They would have two copies of Give it Away unless they deleted the BSSM download, which would be extraordinarily stupid.
The Megadeth pack already didn't come with Peace Sells, which was in RB2. I was miffed when I figured that out after I had already bought it.

Still totally worth it though. Songs are crazy.

You know, this strikes me as a kind of interesting way to handle larger scale releases (in terms of album size). I wonder if something like this would be done for, say, Quadrophenia, or The Wall, or Physical Graffitti.

That being said, if you stand Rock Band: ACDC next to Rock Band 2 and look at the price tags, it's pretty abundantly clear that the price imbalance is quite staggering.

Angus is expensive.

Perhaps some people just don't like hearing songs they don't like? Why do people ask questions when they already know the answer?

If "Chicken Walk" is included now next to "Rock" and "Goth" and all the rest, I will buy this with absolutely NO compunctions. (Who am I kidding. I'm buying it regardless.)

Come to think of it, that would be pretty amazing to have in-game.

I don't think I'll buy the AC/DC Live because I have problems with Brian Johnson singing my beloved Bon Scott songs,

From that video, Suck My Kiss seemed to be uncensored. Is this a first for Rock Band tracks?

This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race had "God" censored out. A few of the NIN songs are censored too.

BenjaminBirdie said:
He's saying it's UNcensored. Which is indeed a landmark occurrence if true.

What did they leave in, joa?

Oooohhh. Missed those two little letters.

Well, Keidis does say 'suck my dick' at one point, if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: he says 'motherfuckers' a few times.

Really not fucking liking the fact that I have to spend 40 dollars for an 18 song track pack that should have released like The Who pack. Fuck Walmart.

Hhmm.. On a second listen, it seems the cut out just the last couple of letters from "Most Motherfuckers don't give a damn"... It sounds just like he's saying the whole thing, but if you listen closely it's something like "Most Motherfu..s don't give a damn" Stupid censoring. Like no kid is ever going to find out what he's saying :lol

Try playing on vocals and see what words are blanked out.

You really need to quit reading what you want to read in the thread and start reading everything.

It's gonna be $30 and will be available for RB1 and 2

Wait, by AC/DC Live do they mean "live performance" or just bad marketing term like Xbox Live?

They mean the tracks will be live versions.
