Well, Paramore music videos are popular on TV.

was it bouncing?Belgand said:No, that would have been me noticing that she had a rather large and unexpected package and would have occurred during the initial encounter. I specifically avoided saying "package" in that phrasing. Think again for the appropriate insinuation.
They aren't. MTV sold out to Flava Flav and the Real World.Belgand said:Since when are music videos on TV?!?

I finally heard the band after having them pop up in the Rock Band 2 world tour.
They were my Hot Topic sell out band. The song truly and righteously sucked.

GUYS, Spirit of Radio is going to be in the DS version of Rock Revolution. Now, if my memory serves, the DS version is all MIDI music. I can't WAIT to hear that.
Same. Maybe it knows IPs.TheGreatDave said:I won one the day after I put my email in, then I opened up 20 accounts and I've got nothing.

I downloaded fine through the Inside Xbox link. Maybe try that?Buttonbasher said:My download is still not working. Fix it Microsoft.
Ive tried the Music Store in RB2 and the Xbox Live Marketplace. Neither work. They were saying (on the Rock Band forum) that the issue should be resolved by midnight (no time zone given).sublime085 said:I downloaded fine through the Inside Xbox link. Maybe try that?
TheGreatDave said:It stopped being a platform when RB2 came out. Harmonix make their own definitions, man!
meljeff said:Dave, I highly respect you. You are one of the main contributors in this thread and I respect your opinions. However, this platform thing irks the heck out of me. Platform is an extremely broad definition of something and Rock Band still resembles a platform.
Its the price they have to pay to get AC/DC songs in the game.sneaky77 said:i always thought that when Harmonix said platform it meant no yearly releases of new instruments and discs, since GH was their target in the criticism... now we are getting 2 discs in 2 months...

Over here, in Australia you'll find those bands have a wildly different audience. That's the kind of stuff my 49 year old Mum listens to.Belgand said:So when do we get the "Acoustic Guitar Songs College-Age Douche Nozzles Play Because They Think It Will Make Them Seem Sensitive Enough to Convince Girls to Sleep With Them" Pack. I'm predicting a lot of James Blunt, John Mayer, and Dave Matthews Band.

Magik said:I think they honestly wanted to avoid releasing yearly sequels but with the way the gaming industry is now with yearly sequels and how GH was pushing out more releases as time goes by, they had to do something to keep 'Rock Band' in people's minds.

TheGreatDave said:I think RB2 is a huge improvement over the first game. Much more so than GH:2 was to GH:1. No part of me feels it's a rip off for the money. It's bigger, better and more bad-ass than ever before!

It's time for "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring to be released as DLC.
Belgand said:They both feel like "tweaks that should have been in the first game, but we rushed to ship too early and apparently never tested the damn thing because everyone else complained about these things" with new songs.
OK, Battle of the Bands is a legitimate new thing that's interesting. I lump Challenges into that because I still fail to see how they realistically differ. Fill trainer is a noteworthy enough expansion of existing ideas to count as exciting and new. Otherwise it was just fixing BWT: online, solo accessible, no stupid leader/instrument-locked crap. It really doesn't feel like it required all year.
Totally agree. Absolutely rushed. I'm refusing to play any more World Tour until I know that bug is fixed for sure. And considering how quickly HMX fixed the band renaming bug in GH2 (they didn't) I don't have much faith ATM.Belgand said:They both feel like "tweaks that should have been in the first game, but we rushed to ship too early and apparently never tested the damn thing because everyone else complained about these things" with new songs.

TheGreatDave said:But really, GH:2 was a big improvement, but it just added co-op. They improved their charts with the old three note chords of sexiness but when it comes to features it was pretty light. It obviously didn't "need" more dev time than RB2 did. I think the online stuff in Rock Band 2 really moves the genre quite a bit, definitely in a direction I'm personally interested in.
meljeff said:You know it is funny because when a new version of windows comes out. A lot of people run to see what Freecell looks like or it is still there. Some people actually love Windows Vista because Freecell looks so cool.
Alot of stuff happens behind the scenes but no one really notices or cares.
I'm curious how much is going on behind the scenes in the game and perhaps hooks
are now in place to do greater things later through online updates or perhaps even part of the new xbox experience. I guess we'll have to see.
TheGreatDave said:Shit, they should have Rock Band "Primetime" stuff. At a certain time, all the sensible people with an Xbox in this thread get online and we get to play each other in various battles, with an audience of half a dozen!
Belgand said:Well, you have your point of view and I have mine, but in mine the improvements in RB2 are as minor as the ones in GH2.
Frankly after comparing the two I'd say that GH2 actually seems like the better sequel. I'd also say that if you want to get technical you could count the DLC being introduced for GH2 on the 360, but I don't because that was just a pump-priming re-tread released well after the PS2 original GH2.
I also find it very interesting that we're debating this when we're both from the sub-human troll population that is being denied RB2 at the moment.
Belgand said:Or they could implement something similar in Home. Though honestly I think that Home is going to be a bit of a failure since it'll likely be nothing but ads in various forms combined with Second Life and with nothing to do there. Nobody will bother loading it up when they could be playing games instead. It's a cute idea, but I think the novelty will wear off quickly and people will realize it's not really a good idea from a practical standpoint... it's just all marketing.
