The real question is are we getting mo-capped AC/DC in here? How about achievements/trophies? 1000 points for playing through 18 songs sounds weird to me.

New venues? Any reason for me to not just export and trade in via Goozex for $40 immediately?
no to all of the above.

I was having a weird problem last night with voice chat on X360. I was the vocalist and people were able to hear me chatting when we were actually performing on stage (hold down right trigger to chat) but whenever we were in the lobby or matchmaking people could not hear me chat although I could hear them perfectly. Am I doing something wrong?

Further confirmation of the AC/DC tracks not being available as DLC:

Q: Will AC/DC LIVE Rock Band Track Pack be available as DLC?
A: AC/DC LIVE Rock Band Track Pack will NOT be available as DLC, only as a standalone disc.

Way to pull an Activision Harmonix. I expected better from you.
I look at it this way.
AC/DC are total assholes when it comes to licensing their music. This was the only way to get them in the game beyond 1 song.

Q: Will players be able to export the tracks from AC/DC LIVE Rock Band Track Pack into Rock Band or Rock Band 2?
A: At no additional cost, all 18 tracks from the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will be available for play in Rock Band and Rock Band 2 by entering a special one-time export authentication code found in the manual of the game for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 versions. Online connection required for export of AC/DC LIVE Rock Band™ Track Pack for play in Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Additional instructions can be found in the manual.

Pretty much. Fans begged for AC/DC and HMX bent over backwards to please them.

Yeah they wont be on Itunes because apple refuses to make people buy their whole albums. ACDC doesnt want people buying just 1 song for 99 cents.

But that's pretty much their entire discography right there...

My terms are the same as everybodies. I don't think £30 should only result in 18 tracks and less features when RB2 and GHWT have so much more for a price that isn't that much higher.
Except this isn't true, because you include GHA in your acceptable value range. Most people consider RB2/GHWT to be good values but GHA is, apparently, the edge of your value scale, while it's outside of my (and others) value scale.

Hey don't be adding explanation points! :lol

While the reasoning being said makes sense, I still don't like it. I've yet to buy a full album and really don't want to start just to get a handful of songs I actually want.

Yeah, for the two or three songs on that disc that actually look fun to play, none of them look good enough to warrant buying the whole overpriced shitty disc. If this was the only way to get more than a single AC/DC song in the game, then fuck AC/DC.

GHA was a full game. With motion captured aerosmith, videos from them about their career, new venues and songs by other artists... this is just 18 track pack, without any extras, not even online play or create a character modes.

This...

Look even if it was DLC you'd have to buy the whole album. AC/DC doesn't play that way. Harmonix is giving AC/DC fans a chance to get the songs if they want. If you don't like AC/DC don't buy the disc. Simple as that.

Edit:

Plus $40.00 US is not that much more then $36.00 US if you are comparing straight pricing.

I'm just saying 18 songs at $2.00 a piece is $36.00 which is what DLC value would be

Meh--at least they got the band in the game somehow so fans can get some more music. Not my thing, but I'm glad the fans got something.

Now, if Harmonix did a Rock Band: REM disc, I'd be all over that.

I think GH:Aerosmith was over priced. But I got a bundle with a guitar and that helped ease it a little. There is a world of difference between GHA and RBACDC. Both in terms of value and effort.

Hell, if the situation is as bad as people are saying, this might have been the only way to get AC/DC period. It wouldn't surprise me if AC/DC demanded a standalone disc as part of the contract just to get Let There Be Rock into the full game, and Harmonix complied rather than lose the contract to Activision (who would no doubt jump all over it).

I really hope that this is just a cheesy concession to get an AC/DC track into RB2, and that nobody at MTV/Harmonix thinks that this bundle is actually a good deal. If would be a damn shame if this becomes a recurring trend.

Except that most of the bundled DLC comes at a pretty heavy discount. The RHCP album came out to $1.25 per song. On a per-song basis, the AC/DC songs will be the most expensive of any songs released for GH or RB.

So we're all agreed that GHA is a rip-off and RBACDC is even more of a rip-off?
great!

I could only picture buying one of those games if I was a huge fan of the band. I like both bands, but I'm by no means a huge fan of either. And they don't seem like that much fun to play (honestly, ACDC seems like it would be boring to play in RB/GH).

I don't disagree but you are:

1. Getting Physical Media - Packaging Fees
2. Getting a stand alone game.
3. Getting to play AC/DC tracks (AC/DC demands a premium cost more then likely)
4. Getting the ability to transfer to your RB1/RB2 library.

I'm totally not defending the method here I'd prefer DLC as well. I'm just stating why this is, what it is. I agree with The Great Dave GH: A is a better product for what you get but the AC/DC track pack is what it is and people will pay for it.

Locksley and The Mother Hips are some of the most underrated DLC IMO. Both bands are great on guitar and vocals.

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!

The ION drumset is all mine! I can't wait to be able to play it.(RB2 is played on my neighbors 360, and he went downtown with an unfinished golf game him and someone else were playing, so I can't play RB2 until he gets back and finishes)

You should start setting it up now if you can. It takes a little while. :lol

My rock band 1 drum stick snapped on the very first song i tried in rock band 2. I still finished the song with 98% on expert and without pausing :) I'm using real drum sticks now.

Wow. I play over 1,000 stars worth of expert drums in world tour, and playing one setlist with a Hard player turns my X into an H. Way to make playing with people below my difficulty unappealing, Harmonix.

does it really matter that there is a X or a H next to your band name. :|

Happened to me with getting an M next to the band logo. Played a few sets alone afterwards on hard again and got the H next to my band logo again. It won't stay that way.

Does it still fix the scroll speed to the shittest player?
Yep. Thank god for GH:WT having independent scrolling speeds.

Luckily the guys I play the most with have graduated to Hard at least.

:lol At AC/DC

Track Pack 1 was $30 for 20 songs on PS2 and Wii.

That sucked, and now theyre saying 30/40 for less songs?

:lol

The only good part about this being a retail release is that itll hit the bargain bin one day, unlike DLC.

PS2 used version for 9.99, yes please.

I started playing GGAHT with my girlfriend, her on hard drums and me expert guitar. I quit after a minute. It's slow enough by default, let alone at hard speed.

I was stuck playing that Timmy and the lords of the Underworld with someone on easy. Fuck that.

Im fine with hard/expert player scroll speed. I can't beat certain songs on expert drums so Im in the same boat. I don't even attempt expert guitar. (except maybe for achievements)
