I don't CARE about ROCK BAND?

Are you serious?

My 360 has been MIA for like a month now. Believe me, if I had it, ALL I WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT WOULD BE ROCK BAND.

And, jeepers, sorry if I don't keep a chat log of the thread in the OP. If you guys want to start a Conversations About Rock Band thread, go right ahead. Yeesh.

I know I don't keep up with all the news and such as much as I ought to, again, because my 360 has been crapped out so I try to stay away from gaming stuff as much as I used to so I don't pitch myself through a window in grief.

I know I can do better in that respect, and I was working on a track list solution that became very unwieldy very quickly but I have to take serious issue with this idea that I don't care about Rock Band or this thread.

You misunderstood me. I meant Dave would be a better choice to OP the official thread for GH:WT since he cares about it far more than I do and I'm the OP of the current thread that's being used as the semi-official thread. Even if it was conceived as a track speculation thread. I OPed it only because someone was asking for a better, dedicated thread for the track speculation and I agreed and knew I'd be around to keep it up.

I would never, ever doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion.

It's worth pointing out that nobody reads the OP. Ever. All it really needs to be is a brief FAQ and a link to Wiki, where the DLC is presented in a much nicer way.

If I had my way, the GHWT thread Belgand made would just be renamed, and a bit of info put in the OP.

I apologize. I haven't eaten my Cheerios yet and they are, as we all know, a critical component of any breakfast.

I was kidding around... but on a serious note, when do the jolly avatars of old return? That one bums me out :(

Also, let it be known, from here on out; Belgand is my most mortal and serious of enemies. He will rue this day at some point in the future.

Even if I do agree about the Eagles.

Even if I do agree about the Eagles.

Please file your appropriate paperwork with the Fraternity of Torment. Until such time as it is processed in full I will be unable to begin arching you. Nevertheless I look forward to hating you on a full-time basis from here on out. Let's just try to keep it professional though.

Quite a lot of hatred just for the Beastie Boys, but still... I'm not the one in charge of this sort of thing.

Unofficially I'll also state that I certainly don't think that the Beastie Boys have any place in Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Rap isn't singing (literally, but I mean that it doesn't fit well within the technical constraints of the game and, as such, is not well suited for it) and the musical portions don't really seem to be the best of choices. You're free to like it, but I really think this is the wrong medium for it.

"Sabotage" was a great video though even if I don't like the band or the song really Spike Jonze often has this power. Identical opinon: "Praise You".

I'm expecting greatness from your Rock Revolution OP.

Spike Jonze... great director, or greatest director?

Think about it.

I'm expecting it to be as successful as Shays' Rebellion*, but with far less lasting impact and historical relevance.

*: For non-Americans and people doomed to repeat it**: it failed with only a few shots fired, two or three rebels died and the rest ran away. It is remembered only because it showed that our initial constitution lacked sufficient federal authority.

**: History. Just as your failure to remember the first half of this well-known aphorism has doomed me to repeat it.

Great. I will never, ever be able to move over any space from Kubrick.

He also, while very great, still butts up against a great many other more fabulous directors and is perhaps more top 25 rather than top 10 caliber. I do not rank, however, aside from the one true director all are beloved by me and ranking is neither appropriate nor possible.

Shall we narrow it down to simply the medium of the musical video then?

We have such heavyweights such as... Michel Gondry, Spike Jonez, and... McG!

I'm fairly certain I wasn't one of the mindless idiots begging for attention when he posted, like he was fucking Elvis Presley or something ;)

If he posts here again I will lick this cat's scrotum in his honor. If it makes a difference I am rather allergic to cats.

No, I actually won't. I'm not certain I care if he comes back either.

Uh nice a Megadeth album. So bought.
Dude, I never even listen to metal, but that album is so fucking fun to play. For some reason no one here talks about it though. Every time I've brought it up no one has responded. :(

This is a NO METAL zone

Most Hated
  1. Rap
  2. Anything even vaguely like rap in any sort of way: e.g. RATM, Rap-rock, dangerously rhythmic spoken-word
  3. Country, with an exception made for Johnny Cash
  4. RHCP
  5. Paramore
  6. Nu-Metal
  7. U2
  8. The Fuckin' Eagles
  9. Foo Fighters
  10. Paramore

So did this happen to anyone else? I got one of those offers before you play a gig to be sponsored by Hot Topic. I would make a ton of money if I did this, and all I had to do was play a Paramore song during my set. So I accepted, and after the gig, I made $400 bucks, but lost 80,000 fans. :( The public knows, Belgand. I felt like post-Black Metallica when it happened.

I've gotten that offer 3 times. Rejected it every time.

I know Everlong is on RB2 and whatever, but There is Nothing Left To Lose would be a much better Foo Fighters album than The Color and the Shape for Rock Band. It'd be way more consistantly fun to play.

My Hero is classic drums, but Hawkin's drumming is just so much more dynamic than Grohl's.

WRONG

Seriously dude? Every song on TINLTL is rocking. The Colour and the Shape has more slow songs that just don't sound very fun. The actual album isn't as good, but it's better for Rock Band.

The two slow songs that come to mind (Walking After You, February Stars) are both great songs with good drum build-ups, I doubt either one will be painfully boring.

A Motley Crue album is quite possibly the worst album choice yet. Just when you start to redeem yourselves, Harmonix... *sigh*

Foo Fighters better be announced for the 7th.

Your horrible taste is music still has no bounds.

Bite your tongue. Although I would've preferred Too Fast For Love or Shout at the Devil, Dr. Feelgood is the more commercial choice, so I won't begrudge Harmonix for that.

Where's "Misery Business" for download? That's the only DLC I've been wanting for months now. Haven't been interested in anything else.

With HMX being sorta aggressive with the censoring, I don't think they'd want kids singing "Bastard" or "Ten Seconds to Love"... though I don't give a shit, and would much prefer those two albums as well. I'll also address Costanza's comment (worst album) by saying I'll take "Dr. Feelgood" over "Doolittle" any day.

Misery Business is exclusive to GHWT. It's going to be a while before you see it in RB.

the fuck do you mean finally? they have three songs in the game already and only one is fun
I've found all three songs to be entertaining. I guess it depends on what instruments you play them on. I've played them all on everything, and thoroughly enjoyed them. If I remember, you mainly play expert drums. I'm not up to that level, but I can play those songs on Hard drums and have a good time. Guitar and vocals are also ace.

I wish I could get through the beginning solo in Devil's Island, I KNOW I could beat the rest of the song :(

Yeah, that solo is insane. Gave me a lot of grief. :lol

It was awesome when I finally got through it though.

Either your sarcasm detector is broken or mine is.

I was exaggerating, but I only really find Saints of Los Angeles to be really fun, the other two are so so to me (I just don't like the songs themselves that much), but my point was that we had three crue songs already.

I was joking that we had more than enough Crue, through the medium of sarcasm.
