Zotac RTX 5090 Solid£1868.99£1999.99 (+7%)£2159.99 (+15.5%)£2249.99 (+20%)£2399.99 (+28.3)£2899.99 (+55.1%)
Retail pricing for Nvidia's gaming flagship, the RTX 5090, has risen sharply over the past few months. At the end of Summer 2025, baseline RTX 5090 models were available at prices close to Nvidia's official MSRP (£1889). Today, the cheapest RTX 5090 GPU available from Overclockers UK is £2,899.99, and it's Zotac's RTX 5090 SOLID.

Compared to last week, this GPU is now £500 more expensive. Compared with July's pricing, the GPU now costs over £1,000 more. Retail supply for Nvidia's RTX 5090 appears to be dwindling, and those constraints have led to rising prices. That said, a 50% price increase over six months is insane. While Nvidia has confirmed that its RTX 50 series GPU supply is "constrained" by GDDR7 memory supply, that alone does not explain this pricing.

I had the chance to get a second 5090FE last week at MSRP and I pulled the trigger. I was shocked to see Nvidia still sold those, I wonder if we'll get more of them at that price ever.

I'm almost certain I can resell my 4090 for more than I bought it for in 2022.

But I won't

100%. I could sell my 4090FE and turn a profit of £200/300. It's insane but also makes sense since it's still a beast.

As a happy PC gamer with a 4090 that I'll run until the fans fall off, I'd rather switch over to consoles only down the road (which will get price increases, too), if this keeps up.

This is just getting stupid.

Stop deflecting, you know i am right.
I know you arent. Sorry to disappoint but I think I know MY life better than you :messenger_tears_of_joy:

No matter what you get, you will be left with an amount that will be worthless the next day, cause the price will still grow, until it crashes and its back to a cheap pc part.
I can buy a 5090, a Switch 2 and two PS5 Pro every month and have enough money left to live perfectly well. It's not about the money itself, it's about the price I'm willing to pay.

I got my 4090 at launch for $1600. I got a 5090 in August for $2200 and sold the 4090 for $2100 lol (and it sold instantly, I could've got more but I felt bad asking that much).

This market is so fucked up. I miss the good old days when prices used to drop over time. Gaming PC hardware should not be something that appreciates in value.

I'm almost considering grabbing a 9070XT and selling the 5090 whenever the prices look like they've peaked.

Calm down, princess, i won't suck your dick cause you can be a mindless consumer. I was talking about the money you make from your older card, which now it seems would be even more worthless, if you can buy all the overpriced junk on the market every month

Calm down
You first dude, you are the one coming at me

Maybe you're jealous, "princess"? I honestly have no idea why you are coming at me like that.
I was saying "I can resell my 4090 for more than I bought it for in 2022". That's a fact. Why do you get mad about that?

You don't know what I do for a living nor how much I earn so go outside and touch some grass.

Damn, a "no, u" and "touch grass"?
Fine, fine, i am jealous.

Well, because not only some gamers buy it, but the majority of the sales come from individual AI (video editor) developers, researchers and small companies, all these customers can afford to buy the card at high price, which is still cheaper than PRO-AI card from Nvidia.

I don't understand why you are getting this upset.

And I don't care, stay mad.

In fairness, it was pretty obvious that his first post meant that if you sold your 4090 at a profit you still couldn't afford a 5090 with the funds made off of the 4090. But then you seemed to take that as an attack by him saying you're poor, and you started defending yourself unnecessarily. You took this the wrong way to start off, and then he got testier than he should have.

5090 was never even a consideration for me gaming-wise, so meh.

Anyone who needed a GPU should have bought last year.

I'm set with my 9070xt, PS5 Pro and Switch 2 long term.

Yeah that was my read as well. Both of em just got a little too hot under the collar too quickly, and it all seemed to be over a misinterpretation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I speak to people on the Internet exactly how I do in person, and I tend to get along with very nearly everyone I meet, unless they're a prick in a direct and obvious fashion to me or someone else first off. When you conduct yourself as such, you tend to avoid misunderstandings like this.....mostly. There will always be exceptions, but it's a decent policy for the most part. I find that many people here are far more hostile, aggressive, and testy online than I can guarantee they'd ever be in person, as they'd just get hurt and most people are fundamentally cowards at the end of the day....and that is a good thing honestly, it's a strong self preservation instinct and it keeps folks out of trouble. I believe that's almost entirely the reason for Internet discourse being so commonly awful; no real punishment for saying the wrong thing, or at least no punishment that actually matters, actually leaves a true mark.

Nah I disagree, my post was just about the fact that I could get an higher price for my 4090 now than in 2022, which is crazy in itself. That's it.

He then behaved like a ass. His last responses speak for themselves.

You can disagree, but it is pretty obvious that he wasn't saying, "KyoZz can't get a 5090 because he's poor." He was still a dick with his subsequent responses, but you definitely misunderstood his initial response which was just supposed to be humorous.

Again my post was just about the fact that I could get an higher price for my 4090 now than in 2022.

Also his statement "you still won't have money to buy anything else" is both false and stupid. By selling my 4090, I can buy a 5080 (and have some money left) for example. I would even add that the 4090 is more researched than the 5090. That is why I said it's more about the price I'm willing to pay.

Not to mention that even if there was a misunderstanding, there is no reason to act like he did. It's just tiring.

My brother, I know what your post said. You are simply ignoring that the initial response to you was a humorous response.

You: "I could sell my 4090 for a higher price than I paid for it. But I won't."

Person: "Yeah, because even after selling it for a profit that still wouldn't give you enough money to buy a 5090! Ha ha ha!"

You: "I can afford anything. I'm rich."

Person: "Buh?"

I'm not going to discuss this further as you have fully entrenched yourself in this for some reason. I'm fine moving on from this.

So I just wanted to check the price in my country (Czech Republic) and the biggest retailer straight up says we are no longer selling 5090s. No other retailer I know have any stock lol.
