Rumor: Chun Soft DS "Fushigi no Dungeon" game to star Pikachu (serious)

According to Quiter, who sources this site, Chun Soft's previously announced "Fushigi no Dungeon" game for Nintendo DS will be called "Fushigi no Dungeon Pokemon World: Pikachu no Daibouken" and will star the electric rat.

Should be interesting if it turns out to be true...

You know what would be awesome, is a dungeon game starring Pikachu where you get different human Pokemon trainers to join your party.

While having a Geocities source for an article isn't very impressive, I will say that the concept does make me ALMOST ponder buying the game.

Wow, this would be good news, as it would give this particular title a halfway decent shot of coming out over here!

Eh, Geocities isn't nearly as stigmatic over in Japan. It's hard as hell to get your own domain name (and even then you're limited to one .co.jp per company). There are large shops here with their Geocities URL proudly etched into their storefront window glass. Go figure.

Is there any particular reason why they couldn't just register with an American registry company?

No, and increasingly they do, but for several years the language barrier was there and the third-party registries for Japanese speakers to get .coms hadn't latched onto that highly sensible and lucrative market yet.

They're biting the Slime Mori Mori concept, basically (although you could say that was in turn knocking off Chocobo's Dungeon, which in turn knocks off Torneko, unless Chocobo came before Torneko, but whatever). Not a bad idea.

DFS.

Sorta funny that ChunSoft's Fushigi no Dungeon series will have now yielded sponoffs of the three most important Japanese series ever (Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Pokemon). Not to exclude Druaga though... and Shiren's become pretty popular too. :)

Wonder if they'll ever work with Sega, Konami or Capcom on a Dungeon spinoff of any of their properties?

Take that Chocobo. :p

ChunSoft should move HomeLand to DS....

100% true.....then the syllish but limited visuals would have a chance to shine, as well as giving DS another "cool factor" title.
