I personally like the guy. He has cool dress sense. And if he were going to kill me I think he'd come in my room dressed in black & wearing gloves, personally, and kill me to my face.

This guy's pretty funny too. Those crazy cats!

I'm suspicious. I say..... potentially bad deal. Russia may just be interested in monetary gain from trade with Iran, but I don't believe that Iran is simply in this for nuclear energy.

Putin reminds me of Niles from Frasier.

Isn't Putin ex-KGB? Anyway, I say it's good, in that Russia probably wants to keep a foothold in the region. With Iraq and Israel as puppet regimes, Russia could lose some serious clout in the ME. And with the recent large discovery of oil reserves, it gives them some security. I wouldn't doubt that this will allow Iran to develop the bomb, but it's not like they wouldn't have gotten it anyway. You can't just bomb everyone that looks suspicious. PEACE.

They key here is that Iran is supposed to return spend uranium back to Russia after a certain number of years (10 I think). Therefore I'm not too sure this deal will actually help Iran build a weapon.

10 years later
Russia: OK, where's the spent uranium?
Iranian: Um, er, we lost it.
Other Iranian: No, the dog ate it, remember?
First Iranian: Yeah, that's right the dog ate it!

so you Americans think that Russia is no longer a superpower just because the USSR 'broke up' ? heh, you seem to forget that we have many hundreds of ICBMs with thousands of warheads and could destroy you American bastards ten times over

This deal is actually really great. It means Bush can't invade Iran without a clear and evident threat of Russia coming to their defense.
