S5 reviews hitting

I've been thinking about switching to the HTC One or something when I upgrade from my S3, but it's tough trading off Samsung's feature set, even though I like the design of the One better.

I'm in the same position. Especially hard to trade off that replaceable battery. Had to replace a dead battery in my S3, and it was a $10 at-home fix rather than sending to a shop and paying $100.

I refuse to buy plastic phones. They feel awful. HTC or iPhone seem to be my only options.

Same, and I carry my phone around nude too. Didn't get a single scratch on my One M7 in the year that I had it and I'm hoping for the same outcome with my One M8. Once you switch to a premium design like that you can't go back.

I think my Galaxy Nexus is still performing well, but I like the IP67 water resistance. I think I'll hold out for the Note 4 even though this looks great.

cracked the screen on my s3 last week. been thinking about a new phone or just buying one of those diy repair kits on amazon. tbh, i think im perfectly content with the s3. but after watching some feature videos of the s5...im tempted. but then again im really open to giving HTC a try. i really like the build quality of the htc phones that ive held. not sure still... we'll see in the upcoming weeks.

One of the things it will come down to for me is sound quality.

So far I've read the HTC One M8 has really good audio so it will be interesting to see how it compares with the S5.

It's almost a certainty that the M8 will be miles ahead in sound quality both with the speakers and the headphone out.
