Saber Interactive is teasing a new reveal on July 22 that seems to be related to Hellraiser

Saber Interactive seems to have another project in the works. The developer, known recently for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, has begun teasing something that will become a reality as soon as next week.

On July 22, at 1:00 PM UTC (which is equivalent to 14:00 BST/15:00 CEST), the game will be presented to fans. The teaser so far doesn't provide much information, but the website constantly shows flashes of the number 55 and the social media teaser has an image that has led fans to pinpoint that this will be a Hellraiser project by the looks of things. As for what makes 55 special, the main location for Hellraiser was 55 Ludovico Place, Cricklewood, London...

In the teaser, you can hear static noises from the tv set with what appears to be the iconic Doug Bradley as Pinhead speaking about how someone has a dark void filled with desires.

A loud booming sound of bells are playing from the puzzle box being opened

Chatterer and his teeth click before the sound of chains rattle around.

Victims screaming in pain as their attacked by chains and dragged away?

Saber also put up an image "55" on a website hinting at Kirsty Cottons house from the first Hellraiser movie.

Please don't be a fucking asymmetrical online game.
I can both see it and not see it, on one hand, Hellraiser is already on Dead By Daylight, Pinhead has been there for years, and every attempt at a single horror franchise to copy it or be like it has flopped while DBD reigns supreme, you don't hear people talking much about Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre games after all.

...On the other hand, i can see some executive not caring and thinking that this time it will work while the only time it worked was with Friday The 13th, and that was there right when Dead By Daylight came out, not when that game had been around for years and built a community already.

I love hellraiser but I don't how you make a game about it.
Maybe some dead by daylight kind of game.
But Pinhead is already in it.

Or something like layers of fear, that could work.

If you love the IP, I'm sure the game will be descent. Evil Dead was pretty solid, it's a shame they went the asymmetrical route and just dropped it though. Apparently it was "because of licensing" but man, with these games and IPs it really feels like a way of backing out and spinning up another project.

I hope it's decent, and it'd be really cool if it wasn't an asymmetrical multiplayer game.

Clicked on this thread to come in and let everyone know that it's gonna be an asymmetric online game. Looks like you got it covered. Who the hell is even playing those? How have I avoided that pocket of online gaming discussion? Never even seen people post about playing them. Yet they keep cranking them out. I think it's a matter of time until every horror IP from the 80s and 90s have one.

Who signs off on them? "Sure we've seen dozens and dozens of these flop, but man, I feel like ours is gonna be different." There really isn't a way to translate Hellraiser into a game. Honestly if you're gonna do it, just make something like Doom 3 with cool visuals and jump scares. $39.99. Don't spend too much making it.

I haven't seen Hellraiser. Theoretically, what would an ideal Hellraiser game look like?
I don't think such a thing is possible. Outside of Pinhead's iconic look the Hellraiser movies were total nonsense. They didn't have anything to latch onto like Chucky or Freddy.

Loved me some Hellraiser. The Cenobite's were some cool concepts from Pinhead, Chatterer, CD Head, Butterball, etc. Kinda fell off this IP these days, and I can't be excited for this knowing which direction this game could inevitably end being.

Clive Barker had some original ideas back then.

If this ends up being an online game then i won't give two shits about it personally. If it ends up being a singleplayer horror game based off hellraiser, then i'll scream like an unhinged fanboy in excitement.

How were the protagonists able to win against him? Or is he one of those villains that is invincible? You can spoiler tag if needed, I'm curious.

I want Resident Evil Resistance 2

If it's similar to Hellraiser while also be in the 80s/90s era range than I want

Waxwork
Night of the Demon
Sleepaway Camp
Suspira - more 70s but I'll still count it
Tenebrae
Phenomena

Extremly short amount of actual gameplay, but liked the mood very much. Looking foreward to see some more gameplay.

The fact that they're making a single-player game in the hellraiser universe, and not another one of those asynchronous multiplayer games is fascinating.
