I don't fucking know, search Best Buy for Samsung 52"

Obviously a mistake, but sometimes company have to honor these things, you know? It's $70.00 shipping, but I bought one. Why didn't I buy fucking more than one, actually? Fuck.

Don't know in America, but if that was in Europe they would be obligated to sell it for that price to people that already ordered it.

these companies have policies that say they can refuse your order for any reason.

Well, you have to sell what you advertise at the price you advertised it.

Policies like "typos excluded" or "til the stock last" doesn't work if you push the companies, happened a couple of times in Spain, I remember during the Gamecube era certain supermarkt just wouldn't stop fucking it :lol

I just tried to say that they messed up with prices in their panflets a couple of times :(

Teach me GAF, should I just add an "up" at the end of "fucking it" ?

if its an error like 59 bucks instead of 79 they have to sell it to you

if its 10 bucks instead of 1000, they have no obligation whatsoever

if the price is an error and is a derisory (?) one , they can avoid going on with the order, the law allows it

Well, don't know if the difference in the price plays something in this, it's all on the jury interpretation I suppose.

Are you from Spain ?
 
Funny when stuff like this slips through.... and obviously don't waste your time ordering it, all you'd be doing is giving BestBuy an interest free 5 day loan, essentially.

This wouldn't go through in the UK. It's a common misconception that companies have to sell at the advertised price - they don't, they can just cancel the transaction and not sell it at all if there's a pricing error. Clearly stated in the Sale Of Goods Act.

Well, here there have been a lot of sentences favoring the consumer always, even making void the typical clauses of the "except typographic errors" because they can lead to abusive practices by the companies, I even read about a 45k car sold by 9k in Madrid (link is in Spanish).

The worst that'd happen is they cancel the transaction yes?

EDIT: Damn it it won't let me through. :(
 
Amazon UK had a pricing mistake on their site a couple of years ago where they were selling new PS3 games for like £10.

They fixed the prices and everyone who ordered them (they shot right to the top of the charts) had to either pay the normal price or cancel their order.

If that was for £10/£40 I can't imagine Best Buy's going to look too kindly on $10/$1000.
