A new handheld games product is set to storm Europe, as South Korean giant Samsung looks set to go head-to-head with N-Gage.
Samsung is working with a leading games firm to develop content for the product, due for release later this year.
Although the device will not be a standalone unit like N-Gage, Samsungs VP and general manager Ju-ha Park revealed to MCV that the device will be a a very competitive games offering.
There will be a games product and service this year, though not necessarily in a games-specific form factor.
Functionality such as 3D does not now require a dedicated handset and can now be found in regular form factors, added Park.
Well at least they have realistic goals.
