I would love to see A.C. Newman perform(not as much as I'd want to see him with the New Pornographers, but his solo album was very solid). A few other bands interest me, not a bad lineup at all.

Especially seeing as though I have never heard of this festival before.

I saw Modest Mouse there at Sasquatch in 03, they were good. I think I might try to make it to this one, I had to skip last year. Pixies I imagine would be a good show, and Wilco, while I feel that they may be pretentious, should be entertaining as well. I want to see Arcade Fire now that I have found out how good that cd is. USE is getting a little too played/emoed out right now with my friends, so I might just disagree in spirit. Kanye is in there as the token hip hop artist, and it's a good choice i think. It'll send the stupid hippies away for a little while.

And don't forget about Smoosh, they're 11 and 10 year old seattle girls. Haha.

i dont even know any of the bands on the plaza stage :p

You don't know A.C. Newman? He's the lead singer of the New Pornographers. Also on the Plaza Stage is Joanna Newsom a solo artist who can play one mean harp.

Why do they have Kanye West?

They always have one hip hop act. 2003 was Jurassic Five, last year was The Roots. Kanye West actually might be entertaining.

USE owns you all.

The third stage is aboslutely killer, all four acts are great local NW artists, so if you're going, try to catch a part of their performances if you can.

This is my last year living in Ellensburg (about 30 miles from the Gorge), it will be weird not having a place to crash at nearby next year.

Nice lineup there. Wilco is the best live act i've seen with Pixies right behind them. Modest Mouse was no slouch either. Matisyahu was at my school a few weeks ago but I couldn't make it, seems like he would be fun to see though. Wouldn't mind seeing A.C. Newman and Arcade Fire. Too bad none of these cool summer fests are coming to NY.

edit- Who is Smoosh? That was the name of the band in a Mr. Show skit. :lol

Very nice line-up. I still need to see Bloc Party and Arcade Fire. The Dears are surprisingly awesome live.

Should be fun.

Yup yup. They play loud too. Stand near the speakers and you'll feel like you're swimming in sound. :D

I saw The Dears last year when they opened for Stars here in Seattle, it was the only time that I ever wished for some earplugs at a show. Great band, but seriously, if they cut their volume in half they'd be perfect.
