Say, is there a practical way of keeping a DVD burner cool?

I've just recently acquired a NEC ND-3500AG to replace my failing 1300A. Now, I burn a lot of discs (typical geek stuff, if you must know) and I've been pondering if there was a decent method to keep the burner cool whilst it worked. I was thinking of sticking it in an extenal enclosure with a fan, but the increase in CPU load wouldn't be particularly desirable. Anyone have any ideas?

Just add water. ;) Seriously though, it's probably at operating temp, no matter how warm it is. If you think it's too hot, call up tech support and ask them. PEACE.
