Scanner won't work with XP

It's a Umax Astra 610s or something...

Umax's website says that it is partially support in XP but has no XP drivers or instructions on how to get it to work...

Microsofts site says that it will work with WIA (whatever that is) but gives no instructions...

Anyone know what to do?
