Schreier- OD still in development

Unfortunately, Kojima is leaning more and more into "experiences" rather than "video games".

Just can't get excited.
I don't know. Death Stranding was definitely a videogame (suck it, "muh walking simulator" dummies), and Death Stranding 2 also seems like one. But I kind of get what you're saying, especially since we haven't seen any actual "gameplay" of this.

And I'm not interested with a game with a dude, Hunter Schafer , playing as a woman. I'm a Kojima fan but I will skip this one. If Kojima will walk this line and fall into twisted gender ideology agenda, I will not be interested anymore with any of his games.

I'm actually more interested. Hunter's got some rizz. Nintendo missed out not going for her with Zelda.

The concept of this 'game' sounds too bizarre for it to come together in a cohesive package. I like Kojima but I don't understand wth this game even is or what he's trying to do with it.

I love PT so I hope OD is good - however the Jordan Peele and Xbox stink has me doubtful.

Why couldn't Kojima just make a normal horror game again with Del Toro and just do whatever PT was meant to be - not what is likely some experimental thing.

Kojima talked about OD (very briefly) in an interview a few days ago and it definitely sounded like that was still happening. I just hope it releases on PS5 also

That is kinda obvious at this point with Microsoft's multiplatform strategy, if Forza and Gears of War are on PS5 go figure if a Kojima game wouldn't.

It's also difficult to think that Microsoft would cancel the project unless Kojima simply admitted that he doesn't know what to do about it :messenger_grinning_sweat: because it would kill their relationship also for the future.

I really wonder what sort of insanity this game will be.

It will undoubtedly be something military / military adjacent ... but not a shooter or the like as that wouldn;t be weird enough.

Military lawyer game with hour long courtroom cut scenes then you return to the office and do futuristic paperwork broken up by coffee breaks and trips to the local record store to buy music you can listen to?

Kind of weird weird to me that people have this hard line in the sand over what is or isn't a game and try to put Kojima titles on the not-a-game side because the gameplay doesn't appeal to them. Your choice is your own, enjoy it (I don't own either Stranding game myself because it's not clicking for me, so I made my choice too.) Specifically in this case however, OD is seeming like some type of visual adventure game, and that seems to be held against it compared to the known gameplay mechanics of shooting and hiding in MGS... the weird thing about the argument though is that Kojima cut his teeth way back when visual adventure games were popular games, and his Policenauts and Snatcher games are standouts of the genre. If he wants to go back and make a game again without twitch-reflex play, I'm not worried that this guy won't find a way to make gameplay that way again.

Like it or don't when you see it in full. It'll be a game, of some type. Most likely.
