How do they sound live?

What should I expect? Tickets were only $16....this has gotta be worth the money.

I was looking at the recent setlists...not bad. They play 12-13 songs per show. Not bad. Set will look something like:

01. Will You Smile Again?
02. It Was There That I Saw You
03. The Best
04. Days of Being Wild
05. Caterwaul
06. Aged Dolls
07. A Perfect Teenhood
08. Clair de Lune
09. Heart in the Hand of the Matter
10. A Classic Arts Showcase
11. How Near How Far
12. Richter Scale Madness

can't complain about that.

I saw them about two weeks ago in Philly. Really great show, IMO.

The setlist was basically like the one you posted, but a few of the last songs were different... I remember 'Another Morning Stoner' and 'Totally Natural' being played. They ended with Richter Scale Madness, of course.

Is The (International) Noise Conspiracy opening for them?

If so, expect a great show.

...Trail Of The Dead was awesome last I saw them, and am looking forward to seeing them again when they roll through here with T(I)NC

also, the setlist from last night:

01. Will You Smile Again?
02. It Was There That I Saw You
03. The Best
04. Worlds Apart
05. Days of Being Wild
06. Caterwaul
07. Aged Dolls
08. Clair de Lune
09. Totally Natural
10. Heart in the Hand of the Matter
11. How Near How Far
12. Richter Scale Madness
13. Mistakes and Regrets (first half Conrad solo)
14. A Perfect Teenhood

I hope they play the exact same set again :lol

:lol :lol I got my wish...I got that exact set.

What an amazing show. The first half of it was good, though I wasn't blown away. I was kinda disappointed, actually. But then they got to Aged Dolls and it was like OMG.
Just a fucking blast after that. They have to be the noisiest band ever when they want to be. Sounded great though. I mean, really good.
Of course their smashing everything at the end of the show was great. But man, talk about LOUD music....look no further.

Best songs:
A Perfect Teenhood (by far)
Worlds Apart
How Near, How Far

But a great show. Also, one opener called The Octopus Experiment was really, really fucking good. All instrumental, and really wierd. Was like, techno-rock, if there is such a thing.

really tight. they do some improvising and extend some stuff. aside from something fucking up with the bass during one song, everything sounded really tight.
really, really, really, really, really loud and noisy, but tight.

the lead guitar especially sounded fantastic. if i had to nitpick, the only problem was sometimes it was hard to hear the vocals. the mic coulda/shoulda been turned up a bit more.

They were supposed to play at the club here on FSU's campus (Club Downunder) last year but it got delayed and then ended up getting cancelled completely. What a bummer.
