On Tuesday, the Like A Dragon publisher launched its official TGS site, along with a list of games it's set to exhibit at the event, which kicks off September 25.

Alongside the likes of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, Virtua Fighter 5 REVO, Persona 3 Reload, and Persona 5: The Phantom X are four empty slots marked "coming soon".

It's likely that some of these unnamed projects will be related to Like A Dragon's Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, which is set to hold its annual Summit live stream the day before Tokyo Game Show.

Last year's Ryu Ga Gotoku Summit, which also took place ahead of TGS, saw the announcement of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which was released the following February.

Another Sega title that could appear at Tokyo Game Show is the next Virtua Fighter game. Just last month, Sega showed off a first look at the in-game combat in its upcoming Virtua Fighter sequel.

Lineup so far:
  • Sonic Racing CrossWorlds
  • Virtual Fighter 5
  • Persona 3 Reload (NS2)
  • Persona 5 The Phantom X
  • EA SPORTS FC 26
  • Project Motor Racing
  • STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl
  • Borderlands 4

After Burner would get me all squiggly!
I would kill for a few new arcade racers this year.

Speaking of, a gameboy "port" of Out Run came out a week or so ago. Been meaning to try it, it looks really good.

Skies of Arcadia done internally would be fantastic. Remake or Sequel.

Something Shining Force III, Burning Rangers, or Dragon Force would be appreciated. And not some GaaS BS. Sadly, most indicators are pretty bad and I am keeping my expectations very low.

Shining Force 3 Remaster or don't bother.

If it's Football Manager or Total War, Microsoft needs to buy Sega and give them the same treatment they give all their acquisitions, because they'll be dead to me at that point.

Yakuza Kenzan! remake/remaster?

Is it too much to hope for an SMT IV or Persona 2 remaster, or even a P6 announcement?

Has Metaphor been announced for Switch 2 yet, if not, that could be a title

I was looking at that collection. Does it have any nifty bonuses that make it worth playing on modern consoles? I never actually played Top Gear 3000 and always wanted to check it out, but I feel like I'd rather play it on my SNES and CRT.

This reminds me, I gotta replay Cruis'n Blast. I bet all of the framerate issues are fixed on the Switch 2. Probably runs at a locked 60 even in split screen now.

Edit: Actually, I bet it's the same case with Rush Rally 3. I didn't pick that up when it released, what, like 5 years ago or whatever because the gameplay footage often dipped well below 60. I bet it's really worth playing on the Switch 2 now.

Nah, it's a (good) collection with a nice wrapper. Nice and convenient. Top Gear 3000 is amazing btw.

You're right. Why didn't I think of that?

Skies of Arcadia

Shining game
I would love to see this, the problem is that these are single player games, so SEGA are not likely to put a lot of money in this. Either it is GaaS and they throw the money, or it is an old license and they throw it a Forever Entertainment.

Rieko Kodama used to work with M2, maybe they would try to work on a Skies of Arcadia remaster. It would be low budget, but it probably would a better outcome than many other things...

I'd be okay with low budget, in fact I'd be okay with a straight port at this point lol

I would love new Medieval or Empire Total War game and so would a ton of the series fans. It's not going to get announced at TGS.

I'm not hating on the games, but I'm tired of Sega ignoring it's older franchises, and milking the same ones constantly. It's tiresome. The industry in general is becoming tiresome and predictable.

The big issue with Total War is that they aren't making the games older fans want, namely Medieval or Empire. And they abandoned Three Kingdoms in kind of a meh state.

SEGA has produced some mediocre shit in Bronze Age games and went fantasy route with Warhammer. They actually haven't had a solid Total War game since Rome 2 (and that had a lot of issues).

Edit: Also, that's a completely separate studio. Total War won't affect Sega's Japanese efforts.

Probably busy working on a sports game for Nintendo. That would be my guess at least. I don't expect them to do anything more these days sadly.
I don't mind them working on golf/tennis, I just want the games themselves to be more fleshed out, but with fewer gimmicks. I would kill for a remake of GBC Mario Golf and Tennis games, where they were basically lite RPGs.

Btw, just tested Cruis'n, and it runs flawlessly. I'm so pumped. I hope they update it with 4K res, cause this game is insane and gorgeous.
