I recently finished my 3rd play-through of Panzer Dragoon Saga and damn if its still not a great game! Its a game that is screaming for a sequal and although Orta was/is a wonderful game, it doesn't touch Saga. So, insiders, whats the deal? Does Sega think it wouldn't sell? Is a remake out of the question?

I bought my Xbox for Orta and it was well worth the price of admission and regardless of what system gets a Panzer sequal, I'd be first in line to buy it. Its up to you Sega...Its up to you...

BTW, is there anyplace that sells Panzer posters?

PDS is one of the few RPGs *ever* where I was determined to do 100% of everything in the game before it was over my first time through. I loved it that much. Definitely one of Sega's most inspired moments... and yes, I'm also referring to the fact that they bothered to release it here in the US... *subtitled*.

Sega, please do the same for Ryu ga Gotoku. I can't say it enough.

The same guys that did that Genos mock trailer (which had me wide eyed and happy out of my mind until my cynical side kicked in and destroyed that momentary happiness forever) also did a few other PD mock-trailers. An old one for Orta, and a fantastic advert for Orta using game fmv and footage to an opera track I believe it was.

Dont have that anymore, but would love to reclaim it as it was really quite perfect.

The Panzer Dragoon universe is one of the most rich, adult and deep franchises ever created for video-games. To think it evolved from just a Space Harrier clone is amazing, and tragic to see it in limbo again now.

It really is quite a story, isn't it...There are a couple of things that keep me coming back to that world. For one, its depressing...odd, I know. But it is what sets it apart from the happy, colorful world of other Japanese RPGs. I also find the world to be an intersting place...a world that is borne from some ancient civilization that destroyed itself...even more interesting is the fact that the present world's only technology is borne from what they find from the ancient age. It poses an interesting question...can a people apprecieate that which they have without having earned it or learned it for themselves?

Secondly reason has to be the art...I suggest you all gander over to http://www.moonapples.com/lagi/ and check out the artwork. Inspired from the work of an artist named Moebius (I believe), the art reflects their world well.

Damn, I remember the awesome fan made Orta music videos. I just spent 20 minutes on google and msn searching for them with no success, what the hell happened to them? Someone have them backed up anywhere?

I played an hour or so on a friend's Sega Saturn like two months ago, and I really need to play through the game because I really enjoyed the battle system and the beginning of the story.
