I can like appreciate the "face made for radio and animation" bit in principle... like self-deprecation jokes are a comedy staple: a gateway to relatability. But guys like Cruz can never sell it. What's supposed to be an innocuous little put-down ends up sounding smarmy and somehow condescending. I dunno -- maybe I'm projecting.
