As I said in another thread, I really hope someone will bring this one over here.

And, I'd also hope that some other developer (sorry IREM, but you don't do so well when it comes to technical stuff) would do a similar type game using next-generation physics engine.

I wet myself imagining the original game set in a different place (San Francisco) using at least UE3 graphics and Source physics. :D

"Although you who are looking forward to it do not have explanation very much, please wait for a while now."

delayed from feb 23rd to march 9th now.

hopefully that stays, but i have my doubts

They're still making PSOne games?? Outstanding!
Good christ, I'm so sick of these comments.

It doesn't look great, but it still lords over anything on the PSOne, DS, or whatever else you want to throw at it. At worst, it looks like a cheap DC game and, at best, looks somewhat good.

This doesn't look too bad...

Moreover, Disaster Report is one of the freshest gaming concepts of this generation, so you'd think all that GRAPHIX ARE OVERRATED GAMEPLAY ROOLZ U stuff would be applied here.

I've just been playing it for the last couple hours...think I'm about halfway through the game. It's just a really cool title. Hopefully the sequel is released here.

Some of the mouth-breathing haters in this thread need to put a sock in it, as Disaster Report was indeed one of the most unique games on the PS2.

Until you get to the point where
the bazooka guy is chasing you. WTF?

I'm a graphics whore, but Disaster Report was amazing... and knowing that makes this one of my most anticipated games here at the end of this generation (most likely will not come to the US) ;(

I concur. Disaster Report rocked the city block...
and caved in countless NPCs in the process. :(

Yep. I remember noticing as soon as I started playing that the first Disaster Report had a shit framerate, which is usually a big deal to me. In Disaster Report's case, I didn't care, because the game itself was so compelling.

It's not even about graphics. I'll take PSOne graphics any day of the week provided I get a fresh concept and a stable framerate to go along with it.

The only thing the first was missing was the stable framerate. Unfortunately, since the platform is still the PS2, I don't think much will change with the sequel.

For shame.

Still, having picked the original up for $5 at the CC firesale, I could've done much worse.

It's not as if it's the PS2s fault, though...

Remember, PS2 has a higher percentage of 60 fps 3D games than any other console ever made.

at some point during a huge disaster, i think you have permission to take off the apron.

Well I guess like the original, all their clothes will start falling to bits eventually. "MY PRECIOUS APRON!" That would be the true disaster.
