I've heard that profesional wrestling as it is today evolved from matches of catch-as-catch-can wrestling. So were early profesional wrestling matches actually real competition, or did profesional wrestling begin as a fixed entertainment match?

It would've also been fun to see a Judoka destroy all of these guys in a match. I wonder what profesional wrestling would look like in the United States if there was a serious Judo/Ju Jitsu influence on it from the beggining.

Man, I've been trying to scan this pic in for the past couple of days, but for some reason it keeps getting resized on the scan, and when I try to resize it in Paint or Photo Editor, it doesn't save the changes. That thing is nuts. I'm gonna keep trying, though-- I was gonna make a topic about it.


Dude's 8'4" tall and still growing-- the tallest living man. His hand is about 12.5" from bottom to the tip of his middle finger, but even that doesn't describe the sheer enormity of the hand...
