The shoes I usually wear look exactly like this, exact without the weird shit on the front, and the sole isn't so high (although it's a bit higher than the average shoe):

I wish I could find them again, because they're starting to fall apart on the inside, and they're looking a bit worn on the outside. Maybe I should get a shoeshine or something...

it would really help if you specified what kind of shoes u needed....running, basketball, casual....if its basketball i wud suggest the air zoom generation low's, blue and white. its what I got last weekend, check very first post. extremely comfortable and really not as big and bulky as they look. retro look too.

I'm kickin.... the ball (rofl) in these:

My last pair was $50. I was concerned about getting a 'value' at the time. Of course they didn't last even a single freaking season (they are literally falling apart).

So, I spent over $100 this time. And maaaan I've been missing out. Fuck the durability. They fit... like a glove. I've never controlled the ball so well. I've never felt so comfortable on the field. And the laces being at the side does seem to make a difference. Hell, it might just be psychological, but I'm feeling them. The first serious test comes this week in the semi-finals. I've only used them during an indoor scrimmage so far.
