Shopping mall parking lots are the devil’s work

I’d consider myself very laid-back. It also takes a lot for me to get upset. However, I have no patience for stupid drivers and more specifically, shopping mall parking lots.

Now I’m not sure how malls are setup by where you live, so some of this may not make sense. The malls around here have a “mall road” that circles around the entire mall. Traffic coming off the main streets has the right-of-way when entering the mall. If you are on the mall road, prior to each intersection there are huge signs that read, “Incoming traffic does not stop” followed by stop signs. Most people stop, so I have no problem here. The problem comes from the people coming into the mall who stop at the intersection when they are supposed to continue driving. There are no stop signs, no indication that you are supposed to stop, and in fact, there’s even a sign that says, “Cross traffic must yield.” But no, you still have morons who stop. Then the people at the stop signs start to go. But then the moron decides that they’ll go ahead and go now. So now the car at the stop sign slams on their brakes, making the car behind slam on theirs. The moron who was never supposed to stop sees this and hits their brakes, just about causing another wreck. Then you have me 4 cars back, watching this whole thing, getting very angry.

Finally, I get into the mall. So now I’m on the mall road going 15 mph because God forbid one the rent-a-cop security guards need to extend their penis and pull me over for speeding even though they have no legality whatsoever.

I approach my destination and now have to look for a parking spot. I turn down an aisle only to find a family walking into the mall. Why do people insist on walking side-by-side taking up the whole aisle? Do they know that other people exist on this planet? Do they think that just because they have a stroller that it’s OK to walk in the middle of the aisle? Move over you ignorant, slow-walking people!

I find an open spot that’s within a mile of the entrance, but of course it has an Expedition on one side and an Excursion on the other. I hate the mall.

That sounds about how the malls work here. There is generally an inner circle road that goes around the mall. Yes, it's hella aggravating sometimes. Nothing, nothing is worse than having to go to the mall a day or two before Xmas.

Yeah, the holidays really bring out the best in people. That's the time of year where you get the normal stupid people plus the obnoxious, rude, evil people. :(

No doubt dude, I worked at Walmart as a young lad. I worked in the Lawn and Garden. During the winter we had all the Xmas Decorations and lights, but we still weren't as busy as Summer. So, we would be sent to the Toys area to help the poor bastards working it fend off the Demon Spawn that had been released by their parents. :(

It's been like 7 years and I still have no interest in having children. The sad part was the parents were worse.. I thought 2 Mom's were going to kill each other for the last Tickle Me Elmo or whatever the shit that thing was.

The first thing you described is my #1 complaint about the malls here. We also have the mall roads and the signs that say "incoming traffic does not stop", yet all the fuckshits act like it's a 4-way stop and fuck everything up.

It also pisses me off when the roles are reversed and I'm the person entering the mall, and the person on the mall road (who has to stop) thinks I'm supposed to stop, so they nearly crash right into me. Then the stupid shits give me dirty looks like I just ran a stop sign or something. Laying on the horn, giving them the finger, and pointing towards the "incoming traffic does not stop" sign helps to relieve stress, though.

All so true.

People yield to me though when I go when I'm supposed to (mall entrance scenario) because I drive an explorer. Having a truck eases driving a bit through intimidation.

We've got those here in maryland, too. But this stuff is a dream compared to the parking at the Copley in Boston.
