I recently picked this movie up from the bargain bin at Wal-Mart for $5.

Did anyone like this movie, or its sequel? Do you think it was better than I,Robot?

I missed movies like this (Police Academy too) that were made back in the late 80's/early 90's.

A Shining Example
Los Locos kick your ass. Los Locos kick your face. Los Locos kick your balls into ou-ter-space!!!.

PS. The first one is the better of the two but both are more enjoyable than I-Robot IMO.

short circuit 1 and 2 are the best movies ever made.

They damn well better make a short circuit 3.

That's what I didn't like about I,Robot...the robot aspect of the movie wasn't as fleshed out as much as I would have liked. I was expecting a Short Circuit-like movie when it came out.

Jonnie 5 is alive JONNIE FIVE is ALIVE!

both are good movies. I wouldnt mind watching one of them right now, preferably the second one. I teared up on the second one for some reason, when he "DIES" it was sad. I wish he would have married a toaster oven and had baby Fives with inteligence. That would be cool.

It wasn't until later I found out the movie was loosely based off of Asimov's book, which are nothing but short stories. But, that's besides the point...I expected a fleshed out robot movie like Short Circuit (not Robocop though, althought the 1st one was quite good).

I loved how SC2 was clearly filmed in Toronto and they had the American Citizenship ceremony outside the Ontario parlaiment

the first. it follows traditional hollywood rules, if there are only 2 movies the first is always better, the caveat is that if there are 3 movies, sometimes the 3rd will be the best.

so, yeah, the 1st is the best

OMG I loved these movies!!! My favorite was the second one, where he wore the baseball cap and the bandana to "disguise" himself. The little Johnny 5s were so cyoote too. XD Seriously, I am so surprised to find a topic like this (even on this forum). Just another reason why this place is awesome~

My favorite scene is (I think) in the first one after he gains conciousness. He's running around before meeting the one girl and starts banging on this gas pump going, "NEED INPUT" LOL

Seeing this topic makes me want to see the Short Circuit movies again. =/ I haven't seen them in like 10 years... lol

Johnny Five was cool and all, but Ben Jabituya/Jahrvi was the shit. (Name for some reason changed between the two.)

"With excitement like this, who is needing enemas?"

"I have seen some strange, bizarre drivers, but you. You will be awarded a cake."

"We are manufacturing them like gang bangers."

:lol :lol :lol Yes, this guy was class, he made Short Circuit almost as much as Johnny 5 did.

Is jealous of Matlock's emoticon
I am ashamed to admit that I must have watched the second movie 20 or 30 times when I was kid and had the video, I *loved* it for some reason. Yech!

as much as I love Jonny 5

please stop trashing I-ROBOT

:lol One of my favorite lines. I'm not trashing I, Robot at all. It was quite enjoyable in some parts. It just wasn't what I expected...I wish they could have fleshed out the NC-17s a little more...I like to become emotionally attached to the robots.
