When 'Shrek 3' opens, Shrek and Fiona are having to take on the duties of being the active king and queen of Far, Far Away. When we left him, the King was quite literally croaking. They're not very comfortable in these roles, so the King says to them, "If you can find the heir to the throne and bring him back, the Kingdom will be in good hands, then you can return to swamp and live your lives." Which is what they want to do. Shrek, Donkey and Puss go to the far side of the Kingdom of Far, Far Away where young "Artie", who is the nephew of Queen Lilian, is about to graduate school. Artie turns out to be young King Arthur and Shrek and Donkey and Puss have to convince this extremely rebellious young man, who's being voiced by Justin Timberlake, to come back and assume the throne. Along the way, Shrek invents the Round Table, chivalry. Donkey is the Lady in the Lake with the sword. You get it. Meanwhile, back at the Kingdom of Far, Far Away, Prince Charming decides that it's time for a coup d'etat. "The cat's away. He will play" So Fiona organizes all of the princesses into the underground Resistance movement, who are trying to hold things together until Shrek, Donkey, Puss and young King Arthur return. There you go

sounds like a hit

I'm calling oscar ;) Seriously though, all you needed to know, to tell you it's going to be a hit, is it's called Shrek. The plot has been boring crap so far in this series, as far as Im concerned. But the kids love the characters.

Sounds good to me. I loved the first two -- very fun, cute movies. I like that this next one will be less of the "people hate ogres" theme that the first two were.

yes i loved both of them, but i think i liked the second one better than the first one!

the third one sounds like it will be a hit, with a synopsis like that the story has endless possabilities, they can make alot of original jokes around that story.

cant wait for this movie to arrive!!

I can't wait 'til Summer '07 so I can get everything imaginable OGRE SIZED OGRE GREEN SHREKIFIED SHREKTASTIC AND OGRIFFIC. :|

I don't understand why everyone loves them so much, which makes it even harder for me to swollow the twelve tons of tie-ins and merchandise that came after Shrek 2. God, highest grossing comedy of all time. ;_;

Sounds good, I'm in... especially to see the Donkey in the Lake part...

Tie-ins don't matter to me, I just ignore them and accept them as a fact of life in 21st century America. But I found the movies fun, the characters enjoyable, and so that's really all that matters to me.

only problem i think will be Timberlake!

hopefully he wont get the part
It's already official...

Not a chance in hell I'll want to see this if it's another superficial crass film relying on pop culture gags. These movies are aged even before they're released.
