No, this isn't the movie... I'm talking about this piece of drek:
Just finished reading it; damn, what a disappointment. The first 2 chapters are actually really good, about a therapist who takes a patient to Silent Hill to prove to her that the demons she says lurk there are not real. Great art, decent writing, and a premise more in tune with SH2 than any of the other games.
Where things really fall apart are the last 3 chapters. The doctor/patient story is abruptly dropped in favor of a punker chick who practices witchcraft. Not only does the new story make little-to-no sense (made worse by the fact that it tries to tie into the first plotline) but the new artist's paintings are so opaque it's hard to discern just what the hell's going on.
And then there's the little girl. Jesus, when will people learn that little girls in white dresses are NOT SCARY? Especially this one, with her annoying inferiority complex and her jarring need to curse like a sailor with a battleship up his ass every time she speaks. Learning her ultimate goal (taking control of Silent Hill from Alessa.....I guess) only makes things worse.
Seriously, if you see this, avoid it at all costs.
