Xbox version is Play Anywhere apparently, nice.

Don't expect it to run well on any handheld device. Silent Hill 2 on Steam Deck is officially marked as "Unsupported" due to the game's graphical demands and going by the Steam page, this game has similarly heavy requirements.

Apparently it is targeting 720p and 30fps on Series S class hardware aswell.

I'm not ruling it out, but so far, it does absolutely nothing for me. Playing as a Japanese school girl, apparently, does nothing for me either, especially with all he weeb shit out there. Again, I'll wait and see. I wasn't that excited about it at the reveal as I didn't know anything about it, and now, after this trailer and the endless yapping, I still don't care. It's unfortunate.

The showcase itself feels like they are trying their hardest to convince themselves it's a Silent Hill game, never mind us. Something just feels off to me. Hope it does end up clicking with me in the future trailers / gameplay, etc

It looks like a shitty mashup of all the horror games set in Japan. (Corpse Party / Siren / Project Zero)

Why Japan, anyway? I don't care about the land of the weaboo, all this to flirt people with pp anime.

The series has come a long way with the second remake, certainly not perfect, but quite polished. And they're already doing something stupid with it?

Windows Store is something that's becoming more common lately... it's definitely starting to mean something.

The fact that more and more publishers are signing up also means that MS is, a priori, managing to convince them to jump on the PlayAnywhere bandwagon or at least have a presence in its PC Store for the future.

P.S. Silent Hill 2 Remake on XS and the Windows Store in September (end of PS exclusivity)?
It wouldn't make sense not to do so when you release the rest of your games (including those in the series) on day one.

There's nothing in there that doesn't look doable in Unreal Engine 5.

This shot is the dead giveaway. Lacking AO under the shoes and as soon as her foot moves there is enough TAA ghosting to give Threat Interactive an aneurysm.
Also when she picks up the pipe. Looks in engine. Whether it’s realtime, don’t know yet

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Definitely becoming more common. Saw Suikoden is another, plus Pirate Yakuza, FF Pixel Remasters and DQ3HD. Kinda sexy tbh.

No Monster Hunter Wilds is unacceptable though.

This post but the proceeding laugh emoji are sending me mixed messages, man :p
