i like silverfuck but i think it is a little overrated

diablos did i ever tell you about the time i saw SP, and as we were waiting to be let in we could hear soundcheck (hours before the show) and the band played marquis in spades?

but then they didn't play the song live.... it was during the machina tour (infact, the day they announced their breakup... )

They played it pretty much every night for a month or tow during the last legs of the US MCIS tour. No Jimmy, but still.

Silverfuck was a main staple of the band between 1993 and 1997 with extreme variations throughout this period. If you get a chance, find the version from January 1997 from Vancouver, BC. CBC Radio taped the show, so there are fantastic soundboard copies floating around.

I had an extremely unhealthy obsession with SP between 1990 and 2000, which explains why my music nerd score in another thread is so ridiculously high. With all the useless knowledge I have pertaining to the band and the outrageous amount of SP material I own, I haven't even listened to them in about a year. Problem is, I don't think I could ever part with it.

Get Gish next! The lyrics suck, but it's a psychedelic metal masterpiece. A lot of people don't like it because it's "too metal" and not "alternative" enough but that's what makes it GREAT.
