I think I'm going to going to buy this. (not pictured above)

Could this end debates about the house layout?

I didn't realize there was an ongoing debate about the layout of their home. Didn't Fox actually build a life size model of it in the 90s? I remember there was some promotion where you could win it or stay in it or something. It looked like it was made out of plastic.

Very colorful.

Lego Simpsons Video Game?

First thing that came to mind. DO WANT! Fully open world Lego Simpsons game would be boss. I absolutely adored just exploring Springfield in Hit and Run. I've been begging for a Hit and Run sequel for years. Open world Lego Simpsons game is close enough.

Honestly I'm more shocked they hadn't done this already, considering all the characters and buildings it could be a massive cash cow

Fuck bringing Space back proper, or fixing the Knight set.. lets slam another IP money grab down their throats. People will buy it. Target will mark it on sale. And then it will be gone within the first cycle. Come on LEGO!

Their house never made sense to me before. WOW
That layout is complete bullshit and completely wrong. And I already explained why way back in the Simpsons thread. Short of the long, the basement stairs would not be there. For one thing the garage is cement flooring, which won't have any part of the basement under it. The idiot who drew that floorplan has never designed a house in their life.

And the "real life" Simpsons house is even less like the show house because proportions had to be completely changed to make it work in the real world.

There is no proper layout because some episodes actually contradict others. At one point the basement stairs were where the entryway closet is. In the episode with Bart and the egg and another with the Beer Baron. But other than that it's more likely under the stairs to the second floor as that's where basement stairs usually are in normal houses.

But they sure as fuck ain't in the goddamned garage! What idiot designed that layout? Hopefully they got fired from Reddit for that blunder!

Have you seen the Rob Ager's work on youtube regarding the spatial imossibilites in the movie The Shining? You will enjoy it.

According to the cool kids in the Lego thread, its not going to be a 'major' release, though. From the CNN article...

But don't expect a big fanfare when the Simpsons set is released. LEGO spokesperson Roar Rude Trangbæk said the Simpsons line will be among LEGO's smaller launches in 2014.

I hope the set selection is good, I don't want a bunch of recent crap. If its the old stuff though, I'll be there day 1.

As somebody who used to obsess over the show, I am utterly amazed that I never noticed the rumpus room before. My mind is completely blown.
