What the fuck? This looks like shit.

I was playing Skate 3 via Xbox BC last Saturday and, for a X360 game, it looked a million times better than this, from art design to asset quality and even physics.

The graphics are not that important but the gameplay and mechanics are! And i still have doubts they will be able to be as good as the old games in that regards

I'm not going to judge it so soon, and I'll give it a shot. Even if the visual style ain't great, if the gameplay is there, I'm more than fine.

I played the early tests for it and had a lot of fun. Idc about the older games (never played them) but I love the Tony Hawk series and there are similarities with this. It's fun just finding a good in game radio station and doing the different challenges, skating around, unlocking cosmetics, etc. Too many people freak out over art style (I actually think it looks good in game and it fits) or other dumb shit before even playing it.

Lost all appeal once they started chasing the Fortnite crowd, most of the people who were hyped and backing this have ditched it now. Such a sad set of events.

I always had access and kept missing it. I played the older games, and enjoyed them. Same with Tony Hawk, it was cool to have two different skateboarding IPs that were both awesome and could be enjoyed at the same time as they felt different enough. I think it looks great and fun, lol.

I really had a fun time with the 10ish hours I played. My worry would be the challenges and how do you keep reinventing those and keeping them not monotonous for, say, 25+ hours before people get bored. The actual skating around the world, putting the board away and flying off a building and all the whacky stuff was a ton of fun. Idk I'm excited to dive into it lol

I participated in a few alpha sessions for this game and I always gave the feedback that the character art style was horrific. I knew it was a longshot that they would change it but yeah... I tried.

Enjoy the Body Type A/B shenanigans

I've been in the early beta access.

It's actually pretty good. Trailer makes the mechanics look way floatier than they are.

It's fun. No more, no less.

I dunno why this game is getting this much hate, it can't all be for cartoony art style (apparently the same build has to run on phones). New update has great lighting effects and I think people forget how Fortnite looked when it first came out compared to where it's at now.

Skating feels amazing, arguably the best of any from the series. New customizable camera adjustments are great. Map is kinda bunz but I'll gladly buy DLC maps for this one. $65 for a skin pack is actually fucked... but I'm just not gonna buy it?

Insane amount of YT video essays shitting on this game for no reason other than skins are expensive and art style differs from previous entries.

Sorry Cry Me A River GIF by Offline Granny!

Excited to play it without the awful watermark in the closed alpha. The gameplay is still super , best in the genre tbh.
I have my qualms about the art direction, its corporate af, but the gameplay was really good.

Man, this really doesn't look good...

- Terribad, Sims-like GFX
- idiotic, badly animated parkour (?)
- everything else

Fook this, I really wish they'd just re-release the previous 3 games.

I've been in the beta and posted this before a long time ago, but right from the initial beta it was clear they were taking everything I liked about the series and throwing it out, in order to massively ramp up all the shit I hated about the later entries. That feeling has persisted across all versions of the beta.
It's for people that liked doing christ air 1540's off megaramps and jumping distances of thousands of feet in the second and third games. there's no nuance to it.
It's not good.

Seriously couldn't care less what it looks like as long as it just plays like skate. If it's skate at its core and updated for modern systems then this will be a certified banger.
