My dvd drive displays only the title information for the first disc I put in there since booting up, and nothing afterwards. The disc will not autoplay or prompt me for an action like before. I've checked the dvd properties, and it is set to prompt me for action. Yet, it does not.

Example-If I put in Doom III and then take it out and put in Far Cry, the Drive still says Doom III is inside it. The far cry logo won't come on. I can play the far cry disc, and haven't had any problems beside that(so far). But, its a weird problem that just started happening.

I downloaded cheeta dvd burner and then the problem started. Since then, I've uninstalled cheeta and all its components, but the problem still persists. Any ideas?

Alot of burning programs disable auto-run because it tends to interfere with the burning process.

OK, is there a way to reenable it? I've uninstalled the burning software and enabled auto run at the properties, but nothing.

U can try Microsoft Powertoys For Windows XP , it has a option for controlling auto-run.
