I'm just wondering about this from IGN's tidbit about smash bros. rev.

Sakurai will continue providing weekly updates on his work to Famitsu, in what appears to be a regular developer journal.

Can i assume this was bull, or has everyone neglected to check their famitsu's since Dec 02?

He hasn't said much about the game since. This week, he does a look back at the year 2005. A couple of weeks ago he talked about how to make God of War sell better in the Japanese market. He mentioned Smash Brothers last week but I... uhh... lost the issue.
