WESLEY SNIPES SUES BLADE: TRINITY PRODUCERS

It’s definitely not the type of publicity New Line is looking for the week before the movie is released on DVD, but as Variety reports, Wesley Snipes has sued the producers, the director, and studio of Blade: Trinity for $5 million, in part, for failing to pay his $13 million salary in full.

The star, who was reported to be aloof during the shooting, and immediately took a role in another film, which prevented him from taking part in Trinity’s press junket alleged in his suit that “in violation of his contract, the director, screenplay and supporting cast of Blade: Trinity were forced on him,” according to the trade. Snipes also claims that there were clear racial undertones on the set, with no other black actors cast in the film, as well as a crew member who allegedly wore a shirt with a racist slogan on it.

I view it this way, Blade is a total shit throw away character that outside of a few goth wankers and the requisite black superhero fans seeking representation; nobody would give a shit about. Even that's a weak claim, because I don't know any black comic fans that enjoy any incarnation of Blade as much or more than what Milestone offered back in the 90's.

I believe Del Toro's visual styling and crazy directing skillaz greatly augmented Goyer's crap script. I don't like Blade 2 because of Blade. I like it because it's a fun action movie that doesn't ape all the current popular cinematic rubbish. You see people getting hit. You have scary monsters. Etc. It's just fun.

As far as a quantifiably good movie goes, Blade 2 is still crap. It's just the lesser of two evils when given the choice between three really shit movies.

Let's hope Goyer doesn't fuck up Ghost Rider.

No, you're not the only one. I hated the sequel. Awful, awful fight 'choreography' and ridiculous special effects that were entirely distracting. I missed the real world interaction and the mythology from the first. And honestly, Blade II gave me a headache due to the horrid soundtrack, the fast paced editing and the lighting and color schemes.
