Its definitely not the type of publicity New Line is looking for the week before the movie is released on DVD, but as Variety reports, Wesley Snipes has sued the producers, the director, and studio of Blade: Trinity for $5 million, in part, for failing to pay his $13 million salary in full.
The star, who was reported to be aloof during the shooting, and immediately took a role in another film, which prevented him from taking part in Trinitys press junket alleged in his suit that in violation of his contract, the director, screenplay and supporting cast of Blade: Trinity were forced on him, according to the trade. Snipes also claims that there were clear racial undertones on the set, with no other black actors cast in the film, as well as a crew member who allegedly wore a shirt with a racist slogan on it.
