The E! channel is doing the top 101 skits from the history of Saturday Night Live. It's three nights in now (of five total) and I have to say it's pretty fun watching a lot of these scenes I haven't seen forever.

Anyone else watching it? Any predictions for a top 10?

Info on the first two shows (should be first three listed by tomorrow) can be found here...

Personally, I hope to see more classic Eddie Murphy near the top of the list. His skits were always among my favs....

"Which is the funniest recurring SNL character?"

The 4 choices are like minor ones.

Oh well, they BETTER have the Wake Up and Smile skit. Super Duper classic.

Yeah Eddie has been all over the chart so far...Hot Tub should be at least top 20 though.

Tonight they had the thing where he poses as a white guy getting all kinds of "free" stuff because of it...comedy gold.

Now that was a good skit.

"We don't need any i.d. or anything Mr. White, take the loan. Pay it back, or don't. We don't care!"

*cue party on the bus when the last black guy gets off*

Lung Brush was solid too, as was "Gallon of feces."

Hell as a kid, I was convinced "McSushi" was real! SNLs commercials are pretty underrated :)

Do they plan on bringing out actual 'best skit' type DVDs, or just DVDS of the single 'best of' episodes?

I bought the Jerry Seinfield one second hand and he was only in half of it. I assume the Will Ferrel one is similar.

Samurai
wild and crazy guys
Mr Robinson's neighborhood (I'm so glad the bitch is gone)
blues brothers (if they count)
Julia Child
Rosanna Danna

Those are the first ones that popped in my mind.

Anyone remember when Brendon Frasier guest starred and they did a live action Charlie Brown parody? Seein the cast with the big ass heads was pee you pants funny!

I missed that one, but they also did the CB parody when Shultz died and it was hilarious! Charlie Brown (Rachel Dratz?)" Myself, my dog, and his bird friend are saddened by this news"

"his bird friend" gets me every time :D

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
Did anyone take the poll? Hahaha, I voted for "Foo Fighters with Jim Carrey on air guitar" for the music poll. I'm shocked that it even made it. Jim Carrey's the greatest, and so are the Foo Fighters. :rock =D

Anybody else just not like the way E! is doing this, its like VH1, but amazingly, even more annoying. They lack the funny and cut the sketch off.

I'll thumbs that up. I will normally sit through a countdown like this, but watching episode "101-80" I couldn't make it through the whole episode. They cut into a funny skit with an unfunny commentary. It was almost as bad as watching an episode as "Best Week Ever."

I think I'll watch Jeopardy the rest of the week rather than this shit. The SKITS are what's funny, not some "never-was" comedian commenting on said skit.
