Load times aren't so bad.. that's good. In-game the game will pause just as the ball is going out of bounds to load the closeup of the player grimacing. The only time this can be frustrating is if you shoot and you barely miss, you automatically know you've missed and there's absolutely no suspense. Sometimes when you're sprining with the ball, the framerate chops up, but it's not very often. Lastly, the d-pad jukes are way too impractical to work. I found it odd that IGN criticized the first touch control, because it's really simple to pull off since you hit the d-pad while the ball is on it's path to a player. What's a big pain in the ass is using the d-pad while you have the ball because by the time you get your thumb back on the analog, the ball's been stolen. It's still a solid game, and the audio is very good with full commentary, so if you're a soccer fan you may enjoy it.
