I got the Acer Aspire 5 and everything looked great... Until I loaded up NeoGAF. I am having the exact same problem I had with the HP Envy: Avatars are of very low image quality. They looked fine on my iPad Pro and still look fine on my phone (Galaxy S9+), which is where I'm posting this from... Does anyone know a possible reason for this? It's bugging the shit out of me.

What is the resolution on that shit?

Maybe it has something to do with the resolution of your screen? Or the way colors are represented. There's options in your graphics drivers like full rgb, ybcr 4:4:4 or YCbCr. Check those out as well. Full rgb should be the best.
That's a weird problem tbh.

I tried the scale and layout options and nothing changed. How do I get to my graphic driver settings?

I seriously don't know what the fucking problem is. Images everywhere else but NeoGAF look fine. I can see 4K wallpapers and they look fantastic, but for some reason the avatars here look awful. I wish I knew how to fix this because I love the laptop other than this one problem.

I just tried Firefox instead of Edge and it looks pretty good. Definitely an improvement.

Did you try different browsers first? That would be a problem that happens between two systems, not really drivers, unless those where somehow the same. Also, the ipad and phone would use the mobile site

Are there any browsers I don't know about other than Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari? I haven't tried Safari yet, but I'm about to try it out. Chrome looks just about as shitty as Edge does. Lol.

Chrome and Firefox work good. Edge is dogshit. Haven't used safari in years. Opera is alright.

I use Brave on ios and FF on win 10. Both are fine for me

Well, apparently Apple stopped making Safari for Windows 10 and I tried Opera and Brave. Firefox is the only browser that makes the avatars look decent enough, so I'll stick with it. Thanks, guys.

Stop browsing on edge. Use chrome or something

It's because you need 64Gb RAM to load the Avatars properly.
