Someone needs to create a service that you can upload your phonebook at any time by calling a number. Kind of like backing up your hard drive.

It pays to either write your important numbers down somewhere, put them in a contacts manager on PC, or to get a phone that can sync contacts with your PC. i had this hot girl in my art class that up and gave me her number on the last day of class. In addition to being hot she was a really good artist. When i finally got around to calling her a week later, my phone developed some odd problem and lost all my info.

Yup, exactly. That's what I'm going through right now. It really sucks, especially if you have any friends who prefer you to call them rather than the other way around (i.e., most of mine).

heh, actually, i had made some tentative plans to get together with her on saturday. it would have seemed like i completely stood her up. 'sorry, i lost my phone' even though it was true, it sounds like a lame excuse. :/

yeah, i have a bunch of friends like that (mostly the long distance ones). it would have been hell trying to track down those numbers.
