OK well my ram is shit on my computer right now it only passed at 63% on Memtest for one stick and 74% on my other stick of 512mb PC2100. I've got a bad via chipset that got screwed over by ATI and there wonderful service depatrment. So my mobo is a busted crap now. So now i'm looking for something to use with the rest of what is now a crappy computer.

I've only got 500 bucks to make this all work out for me. And i would like to get it all from NewEgg since i'm going to try and get there 90days same as cash deal.
So heres my hit list:

Ram
At least a 512mb, 1024mb's would be ncie but with my price being so low maybe it might be a bad idea to get that.
Processor I've decided to go with this processor since its pretty cheap.
Motherboard
I'm really up in the air on this one. Just about anything would float my boat. But i'm a Asus guy i've had experiance with 2 other Asus Amd boards and i like them to a exptent. But if it does have a onboard lan then i wont have to mess with the one i have on my old board which would be nice.
Processor Fan/ Case
I have my case open since it gets really hot so maybe i should get a new case to cram this all in. But i still need to work in my budget. I wish i could get a Zalman fan so badly. Thermal paste is another thing i might need to get.

I'm going to reuse the following:

ATI 9600xt 8xAGP Graphics Card
Lite-on 52x CD-RW
Toshiba 12x DVD-Rom
Creative Audigy Platinum
Sony 1.44mb Floppy drive
2x 80gb IBM (Toshiba) HDD's
500Watt Antec POS

SIDE NOTE if anyone would be nice to eplain to me how to get the data off of one so i can make a fresh install of Xp it would be nice. I have a 40 gig that i can use for a good portion of whats on my main 80 gb. But i dont know. Theres lots of stuff i need to keep and no room on my other HDD.

I'm gonna buy this stuff on Monday so please help me out. Also do i need a new version of Xp or anything like that? Since it is a 64 bit chip or something? Just wondering.

So all you need to get with your $500 is a CPU, mobo and RAM? How's that an issue? You'll have money left over if you get the 3000+ A64 like you've posted.

A good KT800 mobo = $150 tops ($100 will do infact)
Your 3000+ A64 = $175
2 sticks of 512MB PC3200 = $170 or so

You have room to wiggle.

As for transferring data, it'll be easier if you could borrow another HD, temporarily install windows to that, then arrange your data in your 2 80gigs, and partitioning appropreately as you go.
