You need a shit load of bandwidth if you expect to be successful. Start saving for at least a leased T3 line but more like an OC3 - especially if hosting video.

You can get by with a series of Dell Rackmount webservers and a large number of fiberchannel RAID arrays. Make sure they are hotswappable.

You'll need a system to cool all of this equipment just like the big boys use so dedicate a room and hire someone to bring in an environmental system to accomodate this. You'll likely also need dedicated power as your home wiring likely won't take the load of this much equipment.

Start reading up on firewalls because people will be trying to break into your site almost constantly if you have any decent content.

There may be legal concerns regarding permits in your municipality so research that before you even seriously consider this as it may be a non starter depending on where you live.

You could talk to rackshack, ev1servers, serverbeach, etc. and just lease servers from them and let them deal with all the pain of keeping the site up.

Do you want to host a site or create your own. I would think that the only sites that make money are the ones with some original content, not just the canned stuff. Get a couple of DV cameras, get an apartment to film in with some nice furniture, and alot of hoes. preferrably some known hoes but mostly some hot local hoes.

I can recommend ev1servers but you may be interested on talking with them about your content (they are super-reliable and they won't rip you a new one in your wallet, ev1 domains are also dirty cheap) If you are feeling a little lost or your are not trying to bring up a pro site there are adult host specialists out there, google a bit and you'll find a lot of them

I would explore the various adult webmaster boards out there for information. Spend some time getting to know the industry before jumping in.

I don't think you'll really get anywhere with public domain content, and that's if you find any because most of the "public domain" stuff I see is really licensed content with the urls cropped out.
