From high school that is, I'm still a youngin' :(

Anyways, I don't really go out drinking that often (When I do, it's usually just a beer), so I was wondering if the esteemed "Even when I'm drunk, I'd be able to take on five ninjas blindfolded" veterans could give me some tips on how to enjoy my night out.

I don't want to get piss drunk or anything (Considering my friends are irresponsible, I'd hate to see all of us in a situation where not one of us was sober), but I still want to have a good time. What should I try? Reccomendations?

Just don't drink all your alcohol in one go. For example.. don't lineup ten shots with your buddies and down them all. Or don't shotgun or beer bong beers one after the other. You want a good time? Drink a beer. Then evauluate, are you having a good time yet? No? Drink another. Keep going until you start saying shit like "MANNNNN UR MY BEST FIREND DUDE! 4 YEARS MANG! 4 years... u guys are my bros!!" If you don't reach that stage your probably in the stage where u jsut walk around still wondering why ur drink and pretending to have fun.

Don't do it man. It's not worth it. I would stay home.

Well, I'm not planning to inebriate myself, I hate getting drunk, there's no point to it in my mind. I just want to buzz a bit, enjoying the company of my friends and such.

Thanks to all who replied seriously btw.

If you're a rookie drinker:

1) Eat before you drink, and you might also want to snack lightly while drinking.

2) Do NOT drink quickly if you don't know your limits. That means NO SHOTS. Sip on a beer or a mixed drink. Once you figure out how your body is reacting to the alcohol, it's OK to do a shot or two, but give yourself some time between them.

3) DO NOT DRIVE. DO NOT GET IN A CAR WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN DRINKING, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE UNDERAGE.

4) Don't forget to drink water DURING the night, as well as when you get home. For each beer, glass of wine, or shot, your body will need 2-3 glasses of water to make up for the dehydrating effects of alcohol. If you don't make up the balance, you WILL be hung over.

5) Sugar + alcohol = significantly greater chance of throwing up. (At least for me.) Beware of sugary mixers (rum and coke, blech) and don't down handfuls of M&Ms in between shots.

Just because I'm so badass that I can take on five ninjas when I'm blindfolded and drunk doesn't mean I can tell you how to best enjoy a night out :P

Thanks for the advice, especially #3.

Drunk drivers, especially when they're teenagers, make my blood boil.

on another note... the worst throw up experience i have ever had was me and a friend making homemade screwdrivers... i will never touch vodka again

Water. Water AND water. Don't fear to be stupid to drink water with beer. You'll see why the next morning when everybody'll be on hang-over

just stick with beer, if possible. it's really, really, really, REALLY fucking hard to puke from beer unless you get stupid and bong a bunch of 'em.

as a rookie to alcohol, i'd stick away from the hard stuff. have a few beers, have a good time.
all it takes is one badly made drink with vodka/whiskey/rum etc. to ruin your night.

also, maybe it's just from experience(actually, i'm sure that's what it's from), but i almost NEVER have hangovers, and i never drink water. only time i've had one in the last 8 months was when i took shots of tequila, which is never a good idea.
all i'm saying is don't ruin your night because you're too busy worrying about a hangover.

afterall, bad mornings usually follow good nights :)

jinx already said two things i was gonna mention,
1) drink light beer and mixed cocktails, slowly.
2) do not drive or get in a car with a drunk driver.
i repeat, #2 is very important, dont be stupid. getting drunk is fun, dont get too drunk. walk it off, have fun with your friends, walk around, take the train/bus home, or call a cab.

I'm in the same situation (in a week), only I don't drink... man I'm going to be bored on the boat as it passes into Quebec (where it would be legal for me and about half the people on the boat to drink).

I don't find stupid drunk antics funny.

-.-

Of the grads, there are 3 people who don't drink :lol.

So guys... bring the psp?

:lol
