So what the hell did I just import?

PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS oh god i am drowning in them
I had a $5 off coupon for Play-Asia and decided to pick up some shit. Got Devil Summoner and Breath of Fire III cause those prices couldn't be beat with a stick. I'm mad I missed the Princess Crown for $25 sale there so I decided to pick a random for sale game.
Shinseki Genso is what I got.
Then I do a search on here and find dick-all. Anyone know anything about this?

I want impressions/stuff from Gaffers, not psuedo-humans.

Well... you asked to know what did you imported. Anyway, at least you now know the american name.

Wow, those seem like good prices. Are they used or is that how all import stuff is?

They're new.
I'm not entirely sure what makes Play-Asia decide to drop prices. Usually it's on the Asia-versions, but the Soul Hackers is the Japanese version and the Asia version sits at $50. I guess it's mostly due to when they have to unload extra shit? I got Bumpy Trot and Code Age Commanders for $10 and $12 respectively around the holidays. Not too sure how Bumpy Trot sold, but it's a solid enough game. Code Age is pure shit though.

If you act quickly, you might still be able to modify the contents of your order. Go, NOW!

Nope. Looks like I got hit with a $12 bad game tax.
It sounds like this shit is slower than Popolocrois.

I didn't like neither Nocturne nor DDS games any chance I would like Devil Summoner?

Well a better question then is what DO you like? :P

Devil Summoner Saturn/PSP doesn't really play or feel at all like Nocturne/DDS. It's old school SMT with easy to get lost in first person mazes that all look the same and a simplified battle system compared to the PS2 press turn system. I find it pretty hard to play older SMT/SMT-spinoff titles myself.

My guess would be no.
The basic formula for SMT games is:
Dungeon Crawling + Demons + Punch You in the Balls + ???? = Fun!

Devil Summoner is more akin to being out in the cold without any pants for too long and getting punched in the balls by someone wearing plated boxing gloves.

Then you throw on the plate that I'm playing it in a language I which I am at about a fourth grade level in, it's like I'm on a ball crushing path to develop Gaming Balls of Brass(tm).

Is Devil Summoner not coming to the US? If it's not, language barrier be damned, I will order it.

I really don't know, but shit dawg, that $13 piece of shit I just ordered apparently is!
But even if Devil Summoner does hit, it will be in short supply and $25 now is pretty fucking juicy.

Well, if I can bring myself to get out my Saturn again (and my battery save isn't dead) and play some more, I might be able to provide you with some initial tips. It's been more than a year since I last touched it though, so no promises. It's not looked upon very favourably, and you'll soon find out why. :)

Despite that, the Devil Summoner series last ended on a high note with Soul Hackers, so I'm hoping Atlus can continue that with the Raidou game.

I actually picked up a copy of it for ¥500 amongst other shite when I got my Japanese Saturn. I didn't touch anything until I got back to the States, but I did futz around with it enough to warrant blowing $25 on the PSP version. So at least I'm fully aware of what I'm getting myself into.
BoFIII is gonna be interesting. I played that thing up until I think there was this battle arena? Something like that. I think the last character I got was that little turd plant thing. Or maybe the last event was riding that rocket about 3 feet across a river. I forget.

I'd accuse you of being bloody mad for buying the PSP version after trying the Saturn one, but I myself have done that too, so... :lol

Oh well I decided to take the plunge and get Devil Summoner... not sure what to get with that and BoF3 to use my coupon. Not Shinseki Genso that's for sure :lol
