Someone Modded Fallout: New Vegas' Rough PS3 Version Disc To PC
The Fallout: New Vegas mod follows a Fallout 3 port in the same vein.
Well, today I learned that Fallout: New Vegas' problematic PS3 version has been ported into the leagues-superior PC version. No, not the 20 fps hellscape that I know and pseudo-love, the frequent crashes that my brain most readily associates with both the Capital Wasteland and the scenic Vegas strip. I'm talking about the classy-looking case itself.
Greatest Hits To The Face

Honestly? It looks cool. The cover always did. Back when PS3 was the hotness, I remember thinking about how the red band for Sony's "Greatest Hits" re-releases was such a tremendous step up from PS1's god-awful light green, which always clashed hard with the aesthetic of the developers' cover art. People, to this day, shell out more for non-GH versions of PlayStation 1 titles for darn good reason.
There's also sort of a nice texturing to Pope74220's mod, which you can find over on Nexus. I don't recall Fallout: New Vegas' PS3 case sporting raised lettering the way it kind of appears to have in this mod, but if it did, all the better. I like that tactile stuff. There's even an older version of the mod which brings New Vegas' case into Fallout 3, so you can take this bugfest with you from one end of the former United States to the other.
