Sasquatch of 1000 (hairy) colons
So this morning, I come back from picking up the Mars Volta, and my phone rings.

"Hello?"
"Hi, IntestineBoy? This is Abby, I was calling about your ad on Craigslist."
"....huh? What ad?"
"The one for the barista. Is it still availible?"
"Umm... I don't have an ad on there."
"Is this IntestineBoy? 555-555-5555?"
"Yeah but I don't have an ad on there. It's not mine."

So she hangs up eventually, and three more people call me this afternoon. I tell them all the same thing.

Here is the text of the ad:
Looking for part-time barista to work at a fast-paced fun cafe.
We offer very flexible shifts in a great environment.
No experience necessary, will train.

Please leave detailed message for IntestineBoy at (555)555-5555.

I got Craigslist to take the ad down, and then they sent me the e-mail address and IP address of the people that did it. The email address is a hotmail one, that I don't recognize, and the IP has it narrowed down to someone on Comcast somwhere around Western Washington.

So, given the IP, which I've checked againse people who check out my profile, with no matches, and this hotmail e-mail addy, is there any revenge I can enact? No one has stepped forward and claimed responsibility yet. Anyone out there 1337 enough to be able to track someone down like this?

Any help, ideas, etc. are greatly appreciated. Gotta love the collective mind of the GAF.

Oh, and before someone else does it,

Me =

This would've been more amusing had you pasted the text of the ad, yet neglected to remove your real number. :(
