We're nearly out of time, But you're doing fine.
So stay on track, and don't look back.
Just feel the pace, Come on now RACE!!

Everybody's Super Sonic Racing, try to keep your feet right on the ground. When you're SuperSonic Racing, there's no time to look around!
We're just Super Sonic Racing, running to the point of no return. Everybody's Super Sonic Racing, Come on let the fires burn.

Don't you know, that we really have to go. To a place, where you can feel my heart just race....

Listen for the Mario invincible music in the Resort Island track it's about 3 minutes in where the vocals finish. Note the sound of laughter mixed in just after this part finishes.

Yuzo Koshiro am cheer!
So long as they're looking into Yuzo's MD stuff, including Beyond Oasis would get my eternal gratitude. :)

Also, how about maybe looking back at Naka's older stuff as well? Gal's Garden and Phantasy Star 1-2 anyone? Maybe even Ghouls N' Ghosts if Capcom allows?

And even though they only shared a name, I'd like to see some Sonic/Camelot/Climax goodies too (Shining in the Darkness, Shining Force 1-2, LandStalker).

Seriously, listen to the Resort Island track in a CD player - the music usually doesn't get that far during a race if you're any good. Around 3 minutes in the track goes instrumental and incorporates the Mario invincible music (from the NES games) followed by the faint sound of someone laughing, then it goes back to the vocals.

THis is good and all...but where's Nights?

The reason you won't see Nights on this Colleciton is Sega doesn't have a Saturn emulation. Sonic R, the one Saturn game on the collection is the PC port. Also Sonic CD is the pc port too, You know too bad Sega wouldn't throw in a few more Sega pc games, from the saturn days, in this collection.
I know they did:
Sonic R
Sega Rally
Virtua Fighter 2
Virtual on
Virtual cop 1 and 2
Daytona, and Daytona championship Edition. ( this even had different courses then the saturn version)
House of the Dead.
Panzer Dragoon

Jarrod or anyone, what games did Dega release on PC in Japan?

^^^ Yeah that was fucking stupid. MCI also around that time changed their name to MCI WorldCom. Guess what? They flopped. Change your name to something stupid, you fail. Bottom line.

Anyway, they sold me with the original lineup. All these new titles are is icing on the cake. I remember enjoying the hell out of Sonic R. I remember getting 5 of those crystals or coins or emblems or whatever. Its been a while since playing it.

Just listened to it... it's similar in style to the SMB Invincibility tune, but it isn't the same.

I don't notice any "faint laughter" either.

Remember when Sega changed their name to Sega.com?

:lol :lol :lol

OT, but that sure was dumb.

Are you sure?. As far as I know, Sega.com was not really Sega of America. Sega.com was a network business division. They were in charge of SegaNet, sega mobile, SNAP libraries, some software for pc and pda... Nokia bought that 'sega.com' some time ago, btw.

Oh, and talking about the 'official' girigiri... If I recall correctly, the requeriments for running the games it fully supported were even beyond the xbox.

It's not that much more worthwhile until they announce fucking Nights!

I don't understand people who would rather wait forever for a conversion than dust off the saturn or pick one up for ÂŁ20.

Might've been posted, but the Game Gear versions of Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, Sonic Drift 2, and Tails' Skypatrol and Tails Adventures will also be in Gems Collection.

This game would be worth buying a Gamecube to try Sonic: the Fighters alone.

Gamecube sales +1

I don't remember much about Sonic the Fighters, except that it was fucking awesome. Sonic CD should be worth it too.

Probably should pick up a system in August (SSBM bundle). Sonic Gems Collection, then nothing, then Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, then Game of the Year: Twilight Princess.
